...the tension between the White House and McCains campaign made for some awkward moments.

That’s odd. They don’t look awkward. In fact, they look quite chummy.

McCain was and is a complete idiot.
Between suspending his campaign and saying we had nothing to fear from an Obama presidency, he through away the presidency, and has cost this country dearly.
I hate McCain with the intensity of a thousand suns, he is a worthless air breather.

It's Juan Mcloon and his illegitimate brother from another mother, what's awkward about that?
Except for that goofy arsed smile the emperors has.

This is just another brick in the solid foundation that is Dick Cheney. He tells it straight. No wonder that he makes liberals foam at the mouth....
God bless the man, too few like him left who will never sell out. Instead we are left with idiots like McQueeg and that simpering fool Graham.

Senator McCain added nothing of substance, Cheney writes about the now-famous meeting. It was entirely unclear why hed returned to Washington and why hed wanted the congressional leadership called together. I left the Cabinet Room when the meeting was over thinking the Republican presidential ticket was in trouble. The truth hurts. And this particular truth will do for McCain's political epitaph:
Senator McCain added nothing of substance.

McCain is just . . . awkward overall. I will NEVER understand how he became the GOP nominee. Know one I know would even think about voting for him. We all held our noses in 2008 as we voted against Obama.

I found myself thinking much the same thing back in 2008. McCain made a grand show of suspending his campaign to deal with the debt crisis. It was a big gamble that might have paid off, had he actually followed it up with something substantial at the meeting. Instead, he mostly just sort of sat there.

I’ve never seen someone who knew he was going to be thrashed like McCain did smile as much during an interview the night before the election. His heart was never in it, the nomination was all he wanted. What a disgrace, the worst GOP candidate in history,
