Me thinks Obama is a speechaholic. What the heck else can the guy do? He is worthless at anything other than community organizing, riding easy street, and running for the presidency. At least when he is fired, he'll always have his teleprompters as a keep sake. Oh I guess not they belong to the federal government.

That will be like a crack head without his crack pipe. Not going to be a pretty picture. He'll go through withdrawal. Would love to do a cartoon where he is using them at home with the family. Probably already been done though.

This administration is clueless.

Their liberal stalwart idea’s aren’t working, have never worked, will never work, so they’ll continue to blame everyone except themselves.

1. Focus like a laser on jobs.

2. Declare before your vacation, that just after your vacation he will reveal is jobs plan.

3. Concoct a political farce to have a joint session of congress on the day the republicans have a long planned debate.

4. Revealing yourself to be acting like a junior highschooler, you get rolled by the Speaker of the House.

5. Pouting, you then tell the country that you plan to only give a part of your plan to the joint house/senate speech, thus proving that you called the leadership of the country together for crass political reasons, not giving a shit about employment in this country.

6. ....saying you will slowly reveal it during the fall campaign, thus again, proving you are a stupid, witleww, mindless, nitwit who only care4s aout his reelection, and revealing that he, the president, thinks this country if filled with morons for his subjects.

7. The national nightmare continues.

So now we get the “plan” in a form equivalent of a chinese water torture, drip by drip as he vascillates, trial balloons and pivots into whatever the polls tell him. What a guy.

Take the long weekend to dream up a few more ploys, diversions and speeches. Maybe he can write the two word speech I’m praying to hear...”I resign.”

His jobs program is to keep speech writers and teleprompter operators in business.

I have seen the man off prompter, not impressive at all....

This arrogant fool is pushing even his most ardent supporters over the edge. I hear it in my brief flirts with lib talk radio. Oh, I know they won’t be changing their votes. They may well sit out, though, principled bunch that they are/s. The night of the speech-schedule change, I couldn’t believe it. 95% of his supporters expressed “camel’s back” total disgust w/0bama. And the ones who still supported him?

OMG, talk about drooling, babbling psychos.

No need to interfere with this, not at all. This (the speech snafu) is perhaps the only time I have seen 0bama supporters able on their own to be able to figure out what what an absolute goofball move it was. The retention of the Bush tax cuts sort of produced this kind of reaction, but nothing like this. Very entertaining.

He has a plan, he doesn’t have a plan, it’s a big plan, no it’s a secret plan, plan that we can only release in pieces cause it so fantastic, it’s a plan that I can use as an excuse to campaign on, come on...... they (Obama and liberal progessive, socialists) are never gonna come up with the correct plan. They can’t cause they can’t wrap their brains around it. The plan is.....get the f-ing government out of the f-ing way.....it’s not the solution...it’s the problem!!!! Oy!

His “jobs plan” is to keep oodles of White House speechwriters and proposal developers fully employed.

If you’re a talented writer of fiction, I hear there are plenty of openings.

Apply at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC.

Aides say Thursday's speech will be part of a bigger plan the White House will roll out throughout the fall with the president hitting the road for speeches and town hall appearances.

In other words, he has no plan for jobs.

The only thing he's ever been good at is campaigning, so....he hits the road. Off to the campaign! Rev up those tax payer paid buses (because no one is voluntarily donating)....
"Hope! Change!"

There is no problem a socialist can’t fix with a mediocre formulated speech.
Especially, if the speaker doesn’t have to answer for any part of it.
It’s what are country needs right now.. more talk less action..Oh, and more spending.
The problem is obvious..we haven’t spent ENOUGH.

The move could be a way to try and lower the stakes for Thursday's Joint Session appearance, but it could also be an attempt by the administration to show the president is trying to stay all over the economy heading into what will likely be an uphill re-election battle.

I'm guessing the spin will be: "Look at how hard he's working to turn the economy around.......that's why he's talking about it in speech after speech........ He's so focused on this issue because he knows how much the American people are concerned about this.......yada, yada, yada"

It’s Obama’s version of waterboarding. He figures any congressman or voter will give up if subjected to enough Obama speeches.

In England, in the early 1800's there was a wonderfully deranged prophetess named Joanna Southcott.

Amongst her many wild acts of prophecy, which included predicting that at the age of 64 she would give birth to the "Shiloh of the Messiah" (whatever that might be) she left behind a sealed wooden box of prophecies to be opened after her death.

This became known as Joanna Southcott's Box. It was bequeathed to a ungrateful nation with the instruction that it be opened only at a time of national crisis, and then only in the presence of all twenty four bishops of the Church of England - who were to spend a fixed period of time beforehand studying Southcott's prophecies.

Well, it is a new millennium, and Obama is even more fey and ridiculous than Southcott. He is directly responsible for the national crisis, and at this time of financial peril he is, over the course of a few months going to impart a series of partial and fragmentary revelations on how to fix it. All we mortals have to do is collect the texts of his inspired teachings and somehow make sense of them!

he will not present his entire jobs plan in his address to a Joint Session of Congress

You're kidding. He's scheduled for 40 minutes.

...aides to President Obama are privately spreading word that he will not present his entire jobs plan in his address to a Joint Session of Congress.

So we were right and it really is nothing more than a way for zero to grab some headlines (which, of course, his propaganda arm - the "media" - will inflate beyond its real significance).

This could be seen a mile away. Michelle Bachmann, yesterday:

"I mean, quite honestly, that’s all we’ve seen, and the president keeps giving speeches to announce he’s going to give another speech that maybe yet one day we will see a plan come from him, and the only inklings we have from him are that we will probably see a … stimulus."
