If Boehner and McConnell came out to make a statement about these violent comments and demanded a disavowal by Obama they would get on the air and Fox, in particular, would followup. Other networks might disparage the GOP, but they would talk about it.

I fear we may all think that this upcoming election cycle will get rid of all of this.

This could be a very dangerous one for candidates and voters.
