Now that the enemy has crossed to their side, Palins fans dont quite seem to know what to do. Hardly. We know exactly what to do. Point out to anyone trying to give credence to McGinnni's book that it is such a stinker that even the NY Times panned it.

Will you read “The Rogue,” Joe McGinniss’s book on Sarah Palin?
8% Yup - Can’t wait.
8% Maybe - But I won’t buy it.
35% Nah - Not interested.
46% Not if it were the last book on Earth.
0% I’m not sure.

Prescisely. Even their own survey reflects our views.

"
The Gray Lady also recently published an op-ed praising Palin as a person of ideas and calling for her to be taken seriously."
Too bad the NYT can't be taken seriously.

In a statement issued through a PR representative, Todd Palin trumpeted the Times review, pointing to it as proof that the book was so reprehensible that even The New York Times disdained it. That's got to be one vile book...

Not sure why the LSM is defending Sarah Palin now. I’d like to think that her comments shaming the media for not reporting the who, what, when, where and why are having a positive effect. Who knows?

i think its the fact they realize the attacks will be coming from all angles against obozo over the next year- and while they may try and cry racism they understand people realize what a joke he is...so to set up their defense of obozo they are now defending Pailin so as to say, “well heck- we defended Palin against attacks”...

...Los Angeles Times followed suit with a less acerbic take that nonetheless called the book tame and said it lacked credibility. But
many of its accusations have been aired over the past several days in Doonesbury, which received McGinnisss
permission to weave excerpts from the text into the strips narrative.
Doonesbury's a hater cartoon... sad - it once was better than this kind of crap...

Occam’s Razor: the simplest answer is most likely the correct one.
The simplest answer in this case is that the left-wing media is annoyed by the amateurishness of the recent attacks, and their too-early timing. They have to condemn them to protect their own reputations.
