‘If this sounds a bit like the Tom Cruise movie called “Minority Report,” or the CBS drama “Person of Interest,” it is.’
Actually, it sounds a great deal more like George Orwell’s 1984 - but, then, it’s clear that that’s where the government of the United States is headed, so it’s not surprising.
Some largely obsolete phrases come to mind, like “secure in persons and property” and something about warrantless searches, but, hey, we all know that the Constitution of the United States doesn’t mean anything anymore.
As soon as the demographic statistics are tabulated on those “most likely to commit a crime”, the program will be dropped as “Racist”.
