I never thought I’d see the day, again, when I’d want to listen to him. I don’t trust him but I don’t trust any of the candidates. He does stand out as far as candidates go - that’s a given. I’d have no fear that he can take Barry out and in round one. So far I’m not committed and I’ll keep watching him. I actually enjoy not being committed to any candidate right now - I can look at each one objectively. Never had this experience before - always routing for one and hoping the rest failed. I like it this way. Well with one exception, I not only hope but pray Mitt fails.

Who is your candidate?
Again, no one. I'm still watching to see who is worthy of my vote. The only one I have some interest in is Newt.

"This ground game that Cain does not have in Iowa is a question I do not understand."Caucuses = "Ground game" = Lots of hand-holding and azz-kizzing = abnormal amount of staffers on the 'ground'

Perry is a fake conservative. Hes big government, establishment, Bushesque. Except that he lacks the class and manners of the Bush family.
He needs to get out of the race NOW and quick siphoning votes away from Herman Cain. Otherwise, he will just hand the nomination to Mitt Romney.

Just how electable is a candidate who, despite being Governor of the state for 10 years, cannot even persuade a majority of his own Texas state party to vote for him?In all fairness to Rick Perry, Democrats were not included in the poll which you cite. He would do much better if that demographic were included.

Florida is where the rubber will meet the road.True in 2008 and true in every GOP presidential nomination contest for the last half-century. Iowa and New Hampshire are vastly overrated.

I miss the days here on FR when FR ran it’s own internal polling. Paulbots likely killed them.

“And Cain endorsed Mitt in ‘08 and Mitt behind the scenes was trashing Sarah. And he didn’t stop in ‘08 either.”
Yes he did, when the choice was down to McCain and Romney. BEFORE that he supported Huckabee - both verbally and he donated $2300 to his campaign.
Perry endorsed Guiliani who was outwardly trashing Palin and still does.

I agree with you. All the GOP candidates should follow the lead of Mr. Newt and take the high ground against attacking each other. They should all be pointing out the shortfalls of the current administration and point out how they can do things better. Arguing amonst themselves is just turning everyone off. In the end, that is what BS wants; the candidates to destroy themselves.

Perry endorsed Guiliani who was outwardly trashing Palin and still does. Guiliani is pro choice isn't he?

Yes he did,
And he didnt stop in 08 either. <--That was meant for Mitt - Mitt hasn't stopped trashing Sarah. Sorry for the confusion.
Guiliani who was outwardly trashing Palin and still does
I don't listen to Guiliani - when/where is he speaking about her?
So NOW it's consider a bad thing to trash SARAH - when did that happen for the 'anyone but Sarah' crowd? It's only a bad thing if you can use it against Perry somehow?
when the choice was down to McCain and Romney.
So Cain thinks Mitt is better than McCain. What do you think about that?
What would the nosewipes say if Gov Palin supported Mitt? Would it not be non stop trashing of her - while not even being a candidate. What do you think they are - hypocrites? eh?

What are you talking about? First off, I have never trashed Palin. Second, did you even follow this conversation before spouting off? Onyx wrote that Gingrich was complimentary of Palin. I posted that Cain stood up for Palin in 2008. No one said anything about Perry
Then you come into the convseration and start trashing Cain, as you do on every thread.

Cain made another huge faux pas this am on F & F. Here is the quote:
"Cain was asked whether abortion should be part of the political discussion. "No it should not quite frankly. But my position is real clear and has been consistent, I am pro-life," he said. The former Godfather's Pizza CEO has repeatedly called himself "pro-life" but said "it's not the government's role or anybody else's role to make that decision" in a recent CNN interview."
Now, Cain has been given the benefit of the doubt but this is getting ridiculous.

The list ain’t short. The anti-Perry’s keep adding to it on a daily basis!
