We are all interested in clarifying our own points. May I?

I thought Cain jumped the gun by by not first considering where his charge might lead, concerning other justices, given that he showed up with none of the grounds for recusal in hand that would clear Thomas but point to Kagan.

TIMING alone was my mild critique of Cain’s charge to request and extract a recusal from Kagan. IF, he had known at the time of his charge on Kagan that also recusal was in the air for Justice Thomas, Cain could have been fully armed with the citation itself, wherever it exists, that cites the grounds for recusal and that indicts Kagan, but not Thomas. As a result he shows up with no citation, IMHO, and risks setting off a rhetorical war, until the recusal requirements are produced.

No one cares about opinion when there exists, somewhere, the legal grounds, requirements, statutes, for recusal events. I presume that such recusal citations prevail over opinion.

Cain should have, IMHO, had that citation in hand rather than risk the kind of rhetorical free for all, like we had here on FR, with “opinion” flying, especially when it is likely settled law. Who it will swallow up remains to be seen.

Ya know, Rita, I’m very positive a professional politician would have tidied up the battlefield. But aren’t they the people that produced the environment for The Usurping Marxist Onada to occupy the WH? This is a no trick, simple yes or no question.

My point: I’m sick to death of slick professional politicians whose only concern is their place at the public trough. I’m not perfect and I don’t expect Cain to be. The most perfect presidents we’ve ever had were Washington and Reagan. But they wern’t 100% perfect either.

I’m sick to death of all those folks who think their so much smarter than the rest of us. They jump on every real or imagined “gotcha” like a drowning man grabs on to a life preserver. There is a term for these kinds of people—pissants.

” As a political appointee in President Obama’s Justice Department, Justice Kagan strongly advocated for the government takeover of health care and during the bill’s debate, then- Solicitor General Kagan actively supported a government-run system and sent a jubilant email to then-Justice Department colleague Laurence Tribe saying: ““I hear they have the votes, Larry!! Simply amazing.” “

How can the SCOTUS remove Kagan ?
