LOL

After the 34th thread posted by the Cainsterical bunch about the same damn thing in their endless anti-Newt (read: “anti-current candidate polling higher than Cain”), I did indeed post two threads today of note than call Cain into question.

As for the rest of your screed, I am simply going to adopt Cain’s answers: If you don’t like my stance, it’s because you misunderstand me, so let me clarify.
Also, 9-9-9.

The same Cainsterical bunch tried for two weeks with endless threads to impugn Newt simply by saying “Newt Gingrich” and “Fannie/Freddie” together as many times as they could, so I have little regard for their gnashing of teeth and beating-of-breasts when they cry about articles questioning Cain’s responsibilities in the Aquila mess.

I laid off posting about Cain for quite some time, even after what his supporters did to Perry and Bachmann. But after the last day since the CNN debate, I’m not going to give him a pass and play defense on Newt/Perry/Others threads.

Cainsterical Herman Cain supporters are like Ron Paul supporters, only less reasonable. As I have said several times: let it be known that I will NOT support their inevitable demands the we vote for their as-of-yet unnamed third party candidate when their tantrum hit DefCon 5 some weeks from now.

As long as it ain’t Romney (or Huntsman), I’m voting GOP.

So let me see if I get this straight.

In order to “get back” at Cain supporters who have pointed out deficiencies in your candidate of which I am sure some were pushing the envelope of credulity as much as some were actually raising legitimate concerns, you post an article from a former Village Voice writer now with the Daily Beast calling in to question Cain's business acumen. The subject of this deep investigation by an extremely liberal publication is a company which Cain had no day to day management over and followed common practices of the time that while in hindsight were not ideal were not unusual.

I'll skip that the guy has “Mother Jones” as a reference...

Cainsterical? More like hysterical...

You are giving as good as you have gotten, trying to assert some high ground in this is adorable....

And the whole Ron Paul thing? Really? I give it a 9/10 on the lame insult o meter....

Dear AiT,

Many here apparently feel that the American national political scene is already so full of well qualified insiders, there is no need to consider any outsiders.

And if the GOP goes with that ill-fated 'logic', not only will they lose, they will deserve to lose.

Those Beltway insiders are the problem.

Herman Cain is the answer.

-—”I support Herman Cain for President?

Fair question. Of those actually running:

1.) Santorum
2.) Perry or Newt
3.) Not Mitt Romney

Like they say: No risk, no reward. All business people take risks. Some of the risky ventures do not work out. There is nothing wrong with that. It is no sin.

Cain is a good man and would make an excellent president.

I hope Cain supporters show some backbone and stand their ground in the face of the attacks. I am totally dismayed at the cowards who turn and ran after the first attacks.

As a loyal, fervent Tea Party member, and a long time Gingrich observer, I would like to warn other menbers that Newt is absolutely not our guy.

Newt is a crafty, long-time insider who is playing you.

.

" This has been brought up before in an attempt to slam Cain " .... of course this is pure hypocrisy of the Fruitloops Nootroots, they can bash Cain all they want, but once we say anything about Newty, they go bonkers....
Oh Yeah ? BTW ? Michelle Bachman said that Newt is a Liberal..

So ? let’s say for example, Jim Robinson were to come out and endorse and support Herman Cain ? what would you have to say about it ? .....

I would say, “Good for Jim Rob!” for letting us know who he supports.

But I don’t think Cain is any more Conservative than Perry, Bachmann, or Gingrich, despite the spin machine he has at FR; I also think he’s dangerously unqualified and unprepared, and would lose 40 states to Barack Obama in a year when the GOP should be able to win.

Platitudes only go so far. He cannot handle the job, period. He can barely handle the GOP debates.

I like Cain, I really do (I do not like his assassin supporters at FR, though); I also liked Alan Keyes, Dick Cheney, Dan Quayle, and Pat Robertson (at the time). But not a one of them had or has a chance in hell of being President of the United States, Commander-In-Chief of the greatest military in the history of the world, and Leader of the Free World.

Have you ever heard of the Conway Cabal ?
Read David McCullough's book : 1776 ?

There were many during the time period from 1777 through 1778 that wanted those in Congress to fire George Washington because they though he was incompetent and losing to many battles... yes, losing a few battles was a legitimate concern, but, the Conway Cabal was more fueled by selfish ambition and pride by a few who wanted Washington's spot.
Some even believed that George Washington was woefully incompetent, stubborn, incapable, inexperience ( in spite of the fact he fought in the Indian French War ) to win the war.
No, I am not comparing Herman Cain to George Washington at this time, even though ? some traits and principles both share in their love for freedom, liberty, and all things America.

I know, your going to flame me, but , I have been through much worse this past month with surgery.

Ok, Ok, let's take a breath, and discuss this without flaming each other out, ok ? is that a deal ? truce ?

I just want to get into your mind and ask you something ?

Suppose for a minute we set aside some of the weak point about Herman Cain in his ( well, in some people's view ) lack of foreign experience, executive experience, and focus on the man.. ok ?
Do you trust Herman Cain ?
Would you say he has a strong passion for America and loves America ?
You know ? the main theme among the Tea Party is that we are tried of the Washington Insiders and the same old, same old Washington Political Crap... would you agree at least on that ? yes or no ?
You know ? maybe in some people's minds and heart, this instinctive voice is saying " no one knows what the heck they are doing in Washington, much less around the world, no one has the answers " ....
To be honest ?
There are some people who maybe saying, yes, we can live with someone who may not have all the answers, or experienced, but ? we sure don't want someone to sell us down the river and stab us in the back.... been there, done that.
You know, many have their own opinions on that one interview of Herman Cain where he seemingly stumbled and could not answer, but the man said he was running only on 4 hours of sleep, can you or others at least give him some credit that some people, most people are not 100 % with only 4 hours of sleep after campaigning all day ?
I am sorry, we have to agree to disagree, I still believe that interview with Herman Cain was a set up and that tape was edited.
With the lack of experience as some would say , do you ? in your heart ? believe that with push comes to shove that Herman Cain would make the right and wise choice if he were President ?
My instincts tell me , yes he would, and he would have the best interests of America at heart, and not for the next election.

" I like Cain, I really do (I do not like his assassin supporters at FR, though) "

All teams have their argent zealous supporters, and can you blame them ? even on your own team ?
If you were in a foxhole fighting the enemy, you would surely want someone loyal on your side ?
Come on now, let's be honest, both sides have said some nasty things, there are those who bash Cain, or whom ever on your side.
I don't fault you on your zeal, but, I and other just have to disagree with you on many things....
I am sorry, I just can't trust Newt Gingrich...I just can't.
Yes, you might tell us that it's just misinformation, or the figment of our imagination that we saw Newt on the couch with Nancy Pelosi espousing some political correctness liberal ideology... Global Warming... I am sorry if ? something inside of me tells me to pause for a moment and red flags come up.
It's something in the conscience that tells your knower to stop.. a warning signal...

Then again ? we've had people who we thought were conservatives, and low and behold ? ( Supreme Court appointees ) they went all liberal on us...

Who really knows what the future holds for us except God, some people are going by their instincts and gut.

I do know one thing ?

I know in my gut and my instincts tell me to trust Herman Cain.
