More proof, as if we needed any, that Libertarians don’t know what true liberty even is.

when did Pat Paulson stop running for president? --
April 24, 1997.
His son, Monty, has picked up the ball.
On Foreign Aid: We should ask every country in the world to send us whatever they can. On Taxes: No taxes. Let's just tip the government 15% if they do a good job.
I've upped my standards, now up yours.

Pat Paulsen came in 2nd to Bill Clinton in the 1996 NH primary.
And, even though he's dead, there's a good chance he's still running for president.
Lou Warne from Green Lane, PA, in time for the Pennsylvania primary, suggested "Pat Paulsen '08: Resurrect and Elect!" Bill Martin from Bainbridge Island, WA, offered "Pat Paulsen '08: Dead Man Running." Bill McClellan from points unknown recommended "Pat Paulsen '08: Thinking Inside the Box." Joel Goodman from Saratoga Springs, NY proclaimed "Pat Paulsen '08: Never Say Die!"

‘More government? Leave marriage to the churches.
Yes, its ironic that a libertarian like Johnson would take a position requiring more government meddling in private decisions, rather than less.’
Exactly. The redefinition of marriage is by necessity getting more government in the lives of everyone, not less. If homosexuals really wanted less government in their lives, they would have been content with the overturning of the anti-sodomy laws. Liberalism(which libertarian social policies ultimately lead to in the final analysis) is truly a mental disorder.
To: Retro Llama
Idiot, seriously, I can understand his point, but if you agree with it, then you simply should call for the abolishment of government recognized marriage, not for the literal creation of a new one. What a stupid man.

And the perverts will start their own fake church to officiate over their fake marriages. (Didn't see that one coming, huh?) Of course I can see that coming. What do I care? If government's not involved, it's none of my business and I don't care. There's plenty of churches out there now that people call "fake".

I wish you did care. Marriage is important to America - too important for us to allow it to be made into a joke by those who despise it because of their sexual disorientation.
In a nutshell, "it's none of my business and I don't care" is precisely the problem with hyper-individualist anarcho-libertarianism. Though it sounds appealing in theory, in practice it's a system that fails before lasting long enough to get in the history books.
You're not exactly being "part of the solution" here.

What do I care? Mainstreaming deviancy is a problem for society. Only the left and the very foolish ignore it.
America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within. - Joseph Stalin
"Socialism is precisely the religion that must overwhelm Christianity.
In the new order, Socialism will triumph by first capturing the culture via infiltration of schools, universities, churches and the media by transforming the consciousness of society." Antonio Gramsci - Marxist - teacher of Saul Alinsky
You're watching those quotes being played out and you don't CARE?

it's none of my business and I don't care Unfortunately, some people do have a neurotic compulsion to stick their noses into other people's business. They're the ones who make government grow.
