“...we have eyes wide open to all which concerns him and more so the country.....we understand clearly the serious danger this country is in and are not willing to let it go into hands...”

I’m hoping that somehow you don’t think that Gringrich supporters have a monopoly on what’s best for this country. Because your post sounds a lot like it.

You failed to mention his smack-down by the House Ethics Committee too.

There is the fact the he too wrote bad checks back during the Check Scandal that took place in the House back in 1990.

Caww more or less posted that this is old news. That’s totally false. Chronologically, it’s old news but in a political environment as rough as 2012 is gonna be, it’s good ammo for the Democrats.

Take it however you will, no skin off my nose. But of course I certainly agree with Newt supporters who believe not only that he's the best man for the job but has the appropriate tools already in his chest to use....none other have those and that's just the fact.

So if your're attempting to say Newt supporters can identify an "armed" man over those who are not...well again take it anyway you want...you do have that choice. Just as the conversation began by stating Newt supporters have "collective amnesia" which isn't even remotely close to the truth...in fact contrary to that.

But you DO have collective amnesia. Gingrich’s past foibles and mis-statements are out there.

You can excuse or ignore his shortcomings. It’s your choice.

Your biggest problem seems to be when someone calls out Ginrich supporters regarding these foibles and mis-statements.

Killing the messenger isn’t gonna solve Gingrich’s problems.

So we celebrate his conservatism back in the 1990s as the reason he should lead us but ignore his foibles of the 2000s as “old news”. Got it.

Amen. I’m glad I searched first and hoped someone posted on this thread about his sad death. He was on the NRO cruise just a few weeks ago and they all say he looked well.

RIP Tony, I sure loved the cut of his jib.

Prayers for his family.
