From thie local paper;
Goodman died at Lee Memorial Hospital on Friday night after suffering multiple gunshot wounds in the mall parking lot outside Macys and J.C. Penney. The shooter circled the area several times in a gray vehicle and fired more than 50 shots with an assault rifle. The amount of shots fired made it obvious Goodman was target of the attack, Rodriguez said.
Hes angered some people, he said.
The man shot and killed Friday night at Edison Mall was in Lee County Jail facing violent felony charges just a month before his death.
Thomas Arthur Goodman, 25, of Fort Myers, was arrested in November on charges including aggravated assault and firing a weapon into a dwelling or vehicle. He was released on a $30,000 bond 26 days later.
Fort Myers police Lt. Jay Rodriguez said it is too early to tell if Goodmans death was connected to his prior charges.
I dont want to say its a retaliation because we dont know who the shooter is, but I can tell you it wasnt isolated. He wasnt just a victim walking to the park and they shot him, Rodriguez said.

Darn Old Order Amish and their sauerkraut wars again!
Hes angered some people,
Understatement of the year!
His rap sheet goes back to age 12 or13....
One could’ve really cashed out if he had bought life insurance on this young upstanding citizen.
Distinct possibility.
LOL. Maybe some Enzyte too....
The loss of another fine citizen.
I left Naples about 26 years ago. Used the Edison Mall many times. For the longest time it was our prime place to shop.
One Saturday afternoon I was sitting in the mall waiting on my wife and daughter to finish shopping and all of a sudden a streaker came running down the mall. That was a little excitement lol. That was in the original mall part.
Air Jordans, again.
Ogden, UT. A very nice mall became infested with gangs. The police department refused to do anything about it. The customers and merchants departed over time and a new mall was built a few miles away. I was only aware of the issue because my wife had to drive to Ogden to get to the nearest LensCrafters store. The time that elapsed between making her appointment and driving to Ogden was under two weeks. The store location had moved from the old to the new in that time frame. She had to hunt down the new mall.
He was out on bail from a shooting. A bit of payback perhaps?
That is what I’m thinking. Or maybe preventive action.
If I were a cop, and I actually cared who shot this “fine citizen,” I’d check out the folks at the house he fired into, and their friends.
Since I’m not, and I don’t, I’d send ‘em a gift card for firearms instruction, range time, and ammo. Don’t want them needlessly endangering innocent bystanders.
