Can you say Snake Oil??
Oh geez! Guess the wife didn’t want him just laying around the house. Just go away Herman.
Nein, nein, nein. Just go away, Herman.
Scorn and contempt.
We see this whenever Sarah Palin makes any news.
Nothing brings out the anger of a FReeper like a former good guy gone bad.
Sorry, Herman, you lost me when you quit.
Wonder how many books are on that bus??
Thats a good tune. Scary looking chic, but Winehouse has some good songs.
The guy is too dim to understand that his 15 were up weeks ago.
BTW-Godfathers pizza went bankrupt...
goodbye and watch out for the door
Geeze Cain!
STFU and go home.
LOL, another non-candidate bus tour.... Sorry Herman, that only worked for Sarah because people thought she might actually be a candidate. It’s not so easy to pull off once you’ve dropped out of a contention.
Besides, it wasn’t that 999 was ever that popular, it was the fact that Cain as a candidate represented the possibility of big, out-of-the-box, non-establishment change. 999 won’t stand on it’s own, and this bus tour isn’t likely to amount to much.
9 girls in the front, 9 girls in the middle, and 9 girls in the back of the bus.
9-9-9 a truly bad idea - introducing a national sales tax BEFORE getting rid of the income tax. Once introduced taxes never go away, they just get bigger. It’s ironic that Herman hangs on to this of all things. Go back to your bimbos Herman, it’s more rewarding for all of us.
Nailed it.
It wasn’t specifically the 9-9-9 formula itself that had me interested in what Cain had to say. It was the fact that he was talking about scrapping the mayhem we have now. And I sensed that he would get the job done. A job that will require a strong leader, strong salesman, and likely - someone who gladly accept the likelihood of 1 term if he/she follows principal over popularity.
Perry had also put together a plan I was more interested in. Haven’t heard a peep about it in weeks, not sure what conclusion to draw there but can say tax policy resonates with me as a voter.
FWIW right now I’m 60/40 on Gingrich vs. Santorum.
I see the local troupe of feces throwing howler monkeys are out in force today. Let me know when he has a schedule out. I’d still like to hear him speak even though I can’t vote for him.
People keep repeating this calumny that Herman Cain has “gone bad”, but where is the honest basis in fact for that?
The Axelrod Chicago tactics seem to have worked pretty well, except that the rest of the United States is not yet Chicago. However, we have some posters here that very much want to believe in “the Chicago way”.
The strategies employed to isolate and strand a candidate in a one-party situation are rather different than when there are two or more actively participating political factions. Herman Cain was subjected to much the same sort of media blitz that was directed against Clarence Thomas, and in the end, the veracity of the female accuser was called into question, not a gentlemanly tactic at all, but the criticism, while stifled, continued in muted tones.
Like Clarence Thomas, the charges against Herman Cain came down to a “she said, he said” exchange, not supported in any way by the known behavior of either man in any other situation. Sharon Bialek is a person of uncertain personal integrity, and when her history is compared to that of Herman Cain, she comes off as being not a credible source, presenting implausible statements. No other even remotely affected individuals stepped forth to support or emphasize the claims, and Gloria Allred is no champion of impartiality.
But the damage was done, and for Axelrod and his gnomes, they could report back to the White Hous, “Mission Accomplished”.
Herman Cain is not a “former good guy”, he is an honest and frankly conservative representative of the American Dream writ large. And you have seen how he has been treated by the regime that now occupies the White Hut. The Soviet Union used to make those who had lost favor into “unpersons”, have a show trial in which the outcome was always in favor of whoever was at the top of the ant hill in the Kremlin, and the unfortunate victim of this persecution was either shot or exiled to Siberia at hard labor.
Is this what we have come to in this country, declaring someone an “unperson” and shunning any and all contact?
If so, maybe we deserve what is coming by allowing this mindset to retain access to power.
