Basically they are reporting the shading of his skin. . If Zimmerman's altercation had been with anyone else but a black person, would the media have played this ridiculous detail up?

Well, white isn’t a race, nor is Hispanic, something people don’t mention. People are broken down by skin color and other body charactertistics for simplicity.
There are black Cubans, for example, some with fine hair, some with coarse hair.
There are also white Eastern Europeans.
The designation of Hispanic shouldn’t matter, because there really are white Hispanics, especially in Argentina, or white Latins I should say, with predominantly Spanish blood.

They are called hispanic when in fact they are native american indians.
Not always true. Many have mostly Spaniard blood. Vicente Fox looks white and is 6’3”. Not too many pale skinned 6’3” Mestizos.

Zimmerman claims to be on Neighborhood Watch and as such had no authority to inject himself into a confrontation under color of authority after being told by the Police Dispatcher to back off as the Police were enroute.
Pretty sure that anyone who had some guy accosting them on the street would also try to make them back off. Zimmerman - from what I've seen reported - put himself in the position of inflicting negligent homicide to save himself from a self-created attack. Put him in front of a jury.

zimmerman was on the ground and was being attacked.
zimmerman was calling for help. (no help was forthcomming, note 911 caller who told her husband to stay inside==all on tape)
The police found stains and blook consistant with this.
So that leaves us with this question, if a neighborhood watch person is following you and has called the police, what happens next? SOMETHING happened to have Troyver(sp?) on top of zimmerman.

No such thing but in lib talk a ‘white hispanic’ is a hispanic who is in trouble or being charged and a ‘black hispanic’ is a victim while a Hispanic is just a ‘regular guy/gal’.

Like it has been said before - Just because I don’t ‘like’ Obama doesn’t mean I am racist. I am fine with his ‘black’ side, I just can’t stand the “white” BO.
But, no special prosecutor to investigate the racially motivated immolation of the 13 year old White boy in Kansas City.
This is speculation on my part, but based on the facts above being ignored by the media frenzy, this is what I think happened:
Zimmerman was belligerent, possibly even drunk and certainly didn't talk to Martin as respectfully as the TSA talks to Muslims. He may have even said something racial like what is a guy like Martin doing walking in their gated community.
Martin was possibly even drunk as well, but not with alcohol. I'd say he was drunk with pride. Pride which wouldn't allow a racial inferior, particularly a pudgy white guy to disrespect him. He felt he had not only a right, but a duty to teach this cracker a lesson particularly when Zimmerman followed him and pushed the envelope.
What he didn't know, however, was that Zimmerman was carrying an equalizer and was unwilling to submit the beating which he so richly deserved for his disrespect. That's when the real trouble started.
My mama, like so many others, taught me that "sticks and stones may break your bones, but names will never hurt you." The gangsta culture, OTOH, teaches that a beating is a perfectly proper response to being disrespected or insulted and said beating may escalate to even lethal force if the insult or disrespect is sufficiently offensive.
Someone lower on the racial totem pole than a regular hispanic, but possibly above a "white female" or an "Asian."
