The video froze up about half-way but what I saw was good.
Yeah that cat was off his leash.
I’m reminded of 9th grade homeroom. The teacher asks if anybody wants to be a hall monitor. Nobody wanted to be hall monitor. I was big and quiet so teach said, “Steve, why don’t you do it?” I shook my head. She wrote my name down to turn in with another `volunteer.’
I skipped the initial hall monitor meeting, ignored it and that’s the last I ever heard of it. Again, the Congress and now Supremes can do what they want, but I say it’s spinach and to hell with it, and I think a lot of other Americans feel the same way.
They can point the way but we’ll go the way we want. If I want health insurance I’ll pay for it. I’m not paying for somebody else, like so many other things we’re paying for now.
Rant ............. over!

Apparently the judges can rule the way they want to rule based on politics. The they use their legal minds to rationalize.

Pure b.s.

LMAO!!

I expect their heads to explode when SCOTUS rules it unconstitutional and there is no way to separate one part of the so-called law from the whole thing, so the whole so-called law goes down the toilet.

Breyer seems to be leaning to the right on this one.

This legislation is going to hurt liberals as well as conservatives. Unconstitutional means it’s unconstitutional for everyone. Liberals grandparents, children and grandchildren will endure the horrors of socialized medicine just like we and our families will. They are so enamored with their first black president that they are willing to put it all on the line. Do they really think socialized medicine will work in a country with 350 million people? The heath, well being and financial stability of the entire country rests in the hands of a few judges. I can’t believe it has come to this.

I read a couple articles at National Review and Human Events (I think) that said Breyer was pretty supportive of the administration’s position.

usually the oral arguments are dog and pony shows to bolster the opinions held by judges.

Sotomayor has demonstrated why she is utterly unqualified.

Kagen has all but declared he bias.

that said.

NEVER trust toobin, he never gets the law correct except by accident.

The Left isn’t going to let this golden opportunity to fundamentally change America pass without a fight. Right this second they are looking for any pressure they can bring to bear on any and all of the justices. If they have to go as far as raw blackmail they will. Rush is such a naif thinking that the force of Reason is beginning to weigh in the matter and that the court will be compelled by the unsupportable nature of the lefts argument to find for the Constitution.

This whole thing reminds me of a catch 22.

Its probably already been said; buuuut. I think from the outset this "thing" was setup so that if it stands, commie on! If there is too much challenge, craft your defense to get the "mandate" dismissed leaving the rest of the "law" so the commies in DC can bankrupt the Insurance Companies at will (taking one, maybe two years). Once that is complete and Americans are literally feeling pain and suffering (all the while deep sixing "Big Pharma" in the process and making them ripe for outright takeover); surprise!!!! This whole thing will come up again and how much do you want to bet the commies will get it all?

I'm prayin "severability" tanks this whole damn ball and chain.
