I think the democrat media are trying to pressure Romney into suspending his campaign just like McCain idiotically did.

People are seeing what the media is. The media is no longer about giving the true stories and reporting facts, the media has become nothing more than Obama henchmen who will protect this man til their last dying breath. Obama can say whatever he wants and do whatever he wants and the media instead of REPORTING the TRUTH will deflect attention to someone else(Bush, Romney, Palin, etc) because if Obama goes down, so do they and they KNOW IT

This is only the tip of the iceberg. This occurred in Benghazi. That’s a consulate; not the embassy. I read two conflicting stories why Stevens was there. One, for some event. The other, to help secure the consulate. If the second is true then the embassy was aware of the danger. In fact, one of the killed was online (this is from another thread) and mentioned that they saw members of the “police” taking photos of their location. He preceded this remark with the statement “If we’re still alive tonight...”.
CNN, Fox, other affiliates, have already gone live with the story of these being coordinated attacks. Hillary has come out with a statement about (to paraphrase) “How could anyone believe this would happen”. Obama makes a deadpan statement this morning condemning the Libyan attack yet saying nothing about the Cairo attack. Then trots off to Las Vegas for a fundraising event.
What we really need to start asking is, who knew of this and when? Were we warned in advance? If so, why weren’t further security measures taken? Why wasn’t security beefed up (at minimum) by American forces instead of relying on local security? Or, why weren’t the embassies and consulates evacuated? Why hasn’t Obama attended a national security briefing over the past week? If we did know in advance, did we accept it, or did we reject it? Even with Obama’s abhorrence for security meetings, did anyone in the administration forcefully try to get him involved. Get Hillary involved? Hillary’s statements sure point toward ignorance beforehand.
Romney needs to stand his ground. Republicans need to begin asking tough questions. They also need to stop shooting themselves in a circular firing squad, and get behind Romney. If they can’t, then they damn well need to shut up. But we really need to get to the bottom of this.
Hey! Hey! Ho! Ho! Hillary has got to go! They killed an American Ambassador. Does anyone know what “Ambassador” means? He’s a representative of us! I know this is harsh, but Obama is a dupe and a fool and now he’s proven to be a dangerous dupe and fool. Americans are dying because of Democrat incompetence. The media is evidently OK with Americans dying as long as Democrats cause it.
I wonder when the Ambassador died, did the thugs say, “We Came, We Saw, He Died.”

1. Reporter brings up that Romney had a “toughly worded statement last night,” and asks, “Do you regret the tone at all given what we know now?”
2. “Do you think, though, coming so soon after the events really had unfolded over night was appropriate, to be weighing in on this as this crisis was unfolding in real time?” Follow-up: “What did the White House do wrong then, Gov. Romney, if they put out a statement saying they disagreed with it?”
3. “The world is watching. Isn’t this itself a mixed signal when you criticize the administration at a time that Americans are being killed? Shouldn’t politics stop for this?”
My answer to the third one:
People DIED, Obama LIED.

If the president was a Republican and not Obama, these would be the questions: Who lost Egypt? What did we do wrong in our security arrangements?
Heads would be ready to roll for this tragedy and travesty. It should NOT have happened. And the media would pin this on GOP incompetence.
What just happened in effect was a Katrina in foreign policy. A disaster. And the President response was weak and late.
Instead, we get this scary Pravda-esque dissent-suppression call ... nobody is supposed to say anything about the President while a foreign policy disaster happens on Obama’s watch. We are supposed to wait to see what he says, even if he’s late and rudderless.
Romney led, Obama followed. and the media cannot abide that, so they are making Romney’s correct and excellent statement a ‘mistake’ that they will try to force him to back down on.
Meanwhile, they miss the real story.
This tragic attack is blowback for support of islamicist radicals in the guise of the ‘Arab spring’.
The Obama administration incited and engaged in a war in Libya in a ‘democracy in mid east’ neo-Wilsonian policy. The ambassador just killed was the man who worked with militants to make it happen. It is ironic that he helped the extremists who probably ended up killing him. but we knew going in that the extremists in Libya were the guys who went to Iraq to kill Americans during the Iraq war. They are Al Qaeda sympathizers.
And they returned to their true form in the attack yesterday.
So you have to ask yourself: Why did Obama feed the hand that bites us?
Well, at least one question was answered. A Marine spokesperson has acknowledged there was no Marine contingent at the consulate.
I figured when it happened they would pin it right on something R/R said. The less likely or, to their vocal support of Israel.
Come on, everybody, can’t you all see that Romney is even worse than 0bama? I mean, 0bama will only have four more years, but Romney could have eight. The country can survive 0bama, but it can’t possibly handle eight years of Romney!!

Serious LACK of seriousness about security there. And a lot of signs that trouble was brewing (prior attacks, AQ video, etc). This is the kind “at dawn we slept” stuff that lefties raked Bush over the coals with. In fact the NYTimes was doing it just days ago about original 9/11.

It wasn’t a Marine at the consulate who mentioned “police” taking photos of their location. It was the victim Sean (can’t recall his last name) who posted that. He was a well known “gamer” on a game site and made the post to them. His last post went something like this “Well if we don’t die tonight...I saw one of their ‘police’ taking photos of us”. That was from an earlier thread. Another earlier thread confirmed, from the Marines themselves, there were no Marines on site.
All your questions are excellent and need answers. We’re only 24 hours into this. I suspect over the next several days people in high places will begin asking their own questions. It’s unavoidable. There’s just too much that doesn’t make sense. This is a big one. Monumental. Things like picking on Romney, movies that inflame the rabble and such, just can’t compete with the enormity of this debacle. And I think we, here, can be part of the forefront of those questions.
