I have problems with anybody who is told they can do whatever they want, because they are entitled

I think race relations would be much better in this country if it was OK to start telling the average black person that they SHOULD be embarrased at what a lot of the people of “their” race are doing. Until there is significant peer pressure to stop the senseless and wanton violence, rude behavior, and expectations of special treatment, people will keep growing more resentful and scared.

I’m not going to bother reading the article at the link, but want to ask if AP bothered to poll blacks, to see if they harbor racist sentiment toward whites, hispanics, and Jews.

If you had no racist feelings before 2008, Obama should have turned you in the last 4 years. My guess is that there won’t even be another black candidate for another 50 years after what he has done to this country.

BO has made race relations worse.

BO has ruined the economic situation of many black Americans.

Blacks are only 11% of the population.

You could have fooled me. About 70 percent of the print/electronic media ads I see feature a light-skinned black, generally a woman, as the "representative human being." The other 30 percent of the ads generally feature white people. I almost never seen a (nonwhite) American of Asian, South Asian, Native American or Hispanic heritage. There's no balance in what the media presents as racially representative of our country.

Just read the article. It offers a continuous stream of conclusions--blatant conclusions--without offering anything to support those conclusions--i.e., on what types of responses, those conclusions were based.

This is ;not scholarship. This is propaganda, pure & simple.

Now, why would anyone not actually expect a decline in benign race relations, when you have a President who sat for 20 years in the pews of a Church, where the Black Pastor repeatedly "damned" White American values; where the President appointed a non-White Attorney General, who operated the Justice Department in a manner completely antagonistic to traditional values; where that President, in running for office, clearly showed himself to be even further Left than that anti-White Pastor (Ethnic Politics--2008.)

I am old enough to remember when the AP was once a respected source for the news. But it now appears to have degenerated into something very different. Here, clearly, it is trying to manufacture "news"--judging from the lack of substance in the story. And yet, what they are trying to manufacture, without showing the relevance of the questions that they asked, is only what any Obama observer would have expected--a result of obvious cause & effect.

This would be funny, if it were not so tragic.

“as a slight majority of Americans now express prejudice toward blacks whether they recognize those feelings or not”

whether they “recognized” they are racist or not;

as in “you say your are voting against Obama, can you tell me why?”

“he’s a liar” - “you’re racist”

“he’s Marxist” - “you’re racist”

“he’s an amatuer” - “you’re racist”

“he makes laws like a dictator in his use of executive orders” - “you’re racist”

“he aplogizes to our enemies” - “you’re racist”

“he wants to increase our taxes” - “you’re racist”

“he’s massively increased the national debt” - “you’re racist”

“he wants to force us to buy insurance” - “you’re racist”

“he’s pro-abortion” - “you’re racist”

etc., etc., etc.

any survey on “anti-anything” about racial attitudes that assumes racial bigotry is one-directional - white’s anti-black sentiments or white’s anti-hispanic sentiment or white’s anti-anything sentiments only, as if there is no ignorant racial prejudice in the form of black’s anti-white sentiments, or hispanics anti-white sentiments

is no a scientific study, but is the “social science” wotk of a political pundit hiding behind and using their academic standing to run a racially biased survey for the untruths, half-truths, errors and omissions it will contain

case in point - was Herman Cain (he’s black you know!!) once the darling of the Conservative Tea Party movement? Yes. Was the black vote evenly split in the 2008 primaries between Hillary Clinton and Obama? No. The “racially unprejudiced” black Democrats voted overwhelmingly for Obama.

point, set and match

I found the original AP story through Drudge and it's interesting who wrote this story. The AP pollster involved is Jennifer Ageista. I couldn't find too much about her. The other author is Sonya Ross who is AP’s new Race/Ethnicity and Demographics Editor.

Wow, what a surprise!
