I was having lunch today with a friend and we wondered if most of this came from the under 30 crowd who have damned us with Carter 2.0, because they have no freaking idea of what the President is supposed to do? Some of these younger people think the president is an American Idol contest, not a serious and to be taken seriously role, fundamental in our successes, freedom and security.
A saving grace for us (my friend and I), is that we live in Texas. we're going to "shelter in place" and start expanding our preps.

Look at the announcements coming from these various enterprises in another way. Had Romney prevailed in the electoral college vote, you would have seen THOUSANDS of small businesses ramping up, and the economic rebound would have started to gather momentum even before swearing-in.
As it is, the downward spiral has already begun, and shall only accelerate with the swearing-in to a second term for Bronco Bama.

Don't be so sure of that. There are a ton of scum bags who will vote for the Rats every time. Certain "groups" are voting in much greater numbers than they ever have, so the Rat machine could be here for years to come.
Survive socialism? In the old soviet union, if you saw a line you got in it. It didn’t matter what the line was for, you just got some before it was all gone. I’m sure it will be the same here before too long.
The only way any backlash will happen against Obama is when the economy gets so bad the Alphabet Networks start firing big name News Readers. Until then Obama has all the cover he needs to enact anything he wishes.
Unless the economic collapse leads to chaos and widespread violent civil unrest. The frightened sheeple will beg 0bama to save them and he responds by declaring martial law, suspending the Constitution, and pronouncing himself El Presidente-for-Life.
There will be no “machine” without money to spend. This next depression might make 1929-1941 look like 2004.
I posted this on another story but believe it bears repeating. Last week in the Atlanta airport I heard two men (strangers) discussing the election. One was saying that he owned a business and employed 18 people and has already told them that as of March they would all be fired and become “1099s”. He said his business just didn’t have any margin for higher expenses (I assumed he was talking about healthcare). The other man said “this is the most important election in at least 50 years”. I imagine there will be many, many similar situations.

I went to a gun show today and a representative from Cheaper Than Dirt told us that they sold one million rounds of ammo last Wednesday.
