Well, duh. They are republicans, aren’t they? It is amazing any of them have any children as none of them seem to have reproductive capabilities.

Pass a bill in the republican house to make the current rates permanent for everyone then if the democrats vote it down or the president vetoes it THEY own it.

I don't know about that but I predict there will be no agreement as Obama doesn't want one. Obama wants economic chaos and he will reject any, and all offers Republicans might make.
Republicans need to get better at articulating the true nature of what is happening.
To: Free ThinkerNY
No doubt the GOP has already caved, which is why he can make that prediction.

Speaker of the House John Boehner was sighted today, practicing the delivery
of his final position on the fiscal cliff negotiations.

Really think this is just Kabuki theater for the masses.
0 and Boner already worked out a deal when they met on sunday, it's being written as we speak. They'll rattle sabers and build the tension until the 11th hour, then ink a deal in the dark of night (unread and undebated). They'll congratulate themselves for their hard work and then adjourn until the coast is clear.
After the holidays, we get to find out what's in it - surprises for you, me, and Boner too (since the Dems wrote it).

Hmmm, Congress can become suddenly responsible and operate within the budget they never got around writing up these last four years, or steal more money.
More money, or more work... Hmmm Hard choice for the pampered princes of DC.

If they taxed 100%, everybody would starve living in caves next year, yet Congress would still run out of money before the next election.
I suspect that taxation talk is just smoke and mirrors while they buy time to print more money to buy mansions in the Bahamas before the world wakes up to what is really going on.

It's interesting that when the Bush tax cuts were passed, they were "tax cuts for the rich." Now that they're about to expire, everyone is crying over how the higher taxes will hit the middle class. Well, which was it? Tax cuts for the rich, or tax cuts for everyone?

As this communique torn by media puppet ABC News verbatim from the DNC's ticker suggests, the GOP will cave.
And the country's descent down the commode will accelerate.
Tomorrow this media puppet will continue to report, again using DNC talking points, that past GOP tax cuts are to blame.
Call me clairvoyant.
