I couldn't stand Kennedy, and am not defending him in any way. That said, I think that there are plenty of very harmful liberals who are trying to address personal issues with the causes they support. I can only guess what any of these people are really thinking, but whether it be because of guilt, or because of a self-interested desire to resurrect one’s public image, I do believe that the wrongs that people do in their lives effect their behavior in public office - which is why it matters what baggage people bring with them to public office.

Massachusetts might not have the death penalty, but the federal government does. Unfortunately, under the current regime, it will never be used.

The feds were not slow in using the death penalty with McVeigh. We'll see how many decades this muzzie gets to stay alive while appealing his case.

Same thing after 9/11, no Islamic group, no so-called moderate Muslim group nor country sympathized with our plight, none offered their assistance in helping to find or point us in the direction of radical groups that had or were still planning us harm!

None of this happened, yet we are not supposed to notice when Muslim groups make disparaging and even threatening gestures in our direction.

As for me, I believe what you do, not necessarily what you tell me after the fact.
