Not that I’m a threat to any established Louisiana newspapers, but I can say I hold my own in reporting North Central Louisiana local government. I have broken several stories no one else would touch, and have had a part in getting several local politicians put out of commission.

http://lincolnparishnewsonline.wordpress.com/

Not state or national stuff, to be sure, but my credibility level is pretty high among my readership. County commissions, city councils, school boards, is what I report on. As I grow, I will eventually do some statewide stuff, which translates into clout when senate and congressional races come along.

Can’t be anonymous - you have to be out front and willing to take the abuse for stepping on toes. Not everyone can do this, but I’m retired, financially independent, and proof against economic retaliation.

Finally, you have to PUBLISH!! Something, anything just about every day. A flurry of posts for a couple of weeks, and then nothing for a week or two, then another flurry of stories will not work. Folks have to get used to seeing something new on your blog and make a habit of checking every day to see what you have.

In the thirty some years I’ve been researching terrorism, the ages for Muslim terrorists has been widespread, from 15-years old to over 50-years old.

I originally started working on such issues in 1980, during a six-year enlistment in the Navy Security Group as a linguist and cryptanalyst assigned to Mediterranean, North African and Middle Eastern intelligence.

Just how the hell did he escape with all HIS feet, legs and hands? Splain dat fo me.

Splain the condition of this lucky bombing victim:

His clothes are shredded, yet he's not lying in the proverbial pool of blood, but is actually ambulatory and relatively unscathed!

Explosions can do some really weird things.

Then he had to have been with an adult to get into America at age 16... if that was his real age. Who was the adult? And how did a minor get into the WH by himself and spend the night?

When the pictures of this guy hit the internet showing he didn't have burned hands, they had to change the story.

I don't recall seeing any pictures of his hands. Do you have photos?

Before April 17, he had burned hand or hands, according to several reports. After April 16, I could find no more discussion about burned hands, only shrapnel wounds in his legs.

Also, I could find no quotes from his doctors or hospital spokesperson.

One thing I neglected to look for is who put out the first report that the Saudi national had shrapnel wounds on his legs.

But was the third bomber radicalized? Was he a bitter clinger? Did poor dental hygiene drive him to it?

You need to ask the White House those questions.

Didn’t they put out a flyer telling the members NOT to talk to the FBI? That mosque is a den of information, just gotta get past all the walls the MA government has put up around it.
****************************************************************
“...telling the members NOT to talk to the FBI?” They did indeed do that—they basically told them to not talk without the “lawyering up” with the Mosque's counsel. They're becoming like a crime family in out midst with their own code of omertà. They, and just about anybody of importance in the higher reaches of the Obama administration are worried about "dots being connected".

The schools must have restricted internet access in case the students pull up porn or some wacked out site. Sometimes the blocks go too far. Ours won’t bring up anything related to “rock” so forget about doing a science report. I can understand why blogs aren’t allowed and it’s easier on them to make a blanket decision rather than make exceptions. You can bet your school has a staff member who does nothing but monitor every site your kid visits.

I’ve never heard of a college being restrictive.

No, they’ve got something else to block porn. This same English teacher set aside that filter so her class could do social media activism, trying to get a former teacher to be able to see Obama in person (he was going to go to the inauguration but was in a car collision and couldn’t go). So the kids went to porn Youtubes. They wouldn’t stop when my son told them it was distracting and they needed to stop or else he would report them. So he reported them and HE got into trouble for it...

This is just for search terms. Instead of letting the kids use Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc, they have to use these 3 search engines. SIRS, eLibrary, and one other that I always forget. He did 3 different subjects for his papers (No Child Left Behind, nature v nurture, and Gun Control), and he couldn’t find factual data for ANY of those subjects. Couldn’t even find DOJ crime statistics or CDC cause-of-death statistics, for instance. Why would they censor out DOJ or CDC web pages from the search? It was ridiculous.

According to his Twitter page, Troy Crossley

He tweeted he'd lay down his life for white cap.

My problem is that I’m more of an investigator than a journalist. I can go deeper in my investigating than journalists can because I *don’t* have the deadlines and daily demands that they have. That also means that I don’t have to say anything if I don’t have something worth saying, or if it’s critical for me to keep quiet about some things I know. Hopefully that means that people know it’s worth taking the time to read because there is new, vetted information and not just background noise.

But the cost of that is that I don’t necessarily have people checking regularly. And I don’t have a large audience. Posting here at FR is my best chance at having people see the evidence I’ve got, and that’s where I put a lot of my energy. It’s not really me that I want anybody to pay attention to, but the actual evidence. That’s why I’ve offered my information/evidence to any journalist who is willing to take it and run with it. But nobody will.

That may be the only promise he's kept.

The FBI previously acknowledged its investigators interviewed Tsarnaev in early 2011 but did not determine him to be a threat. He was not placed on the “no-fly” list.

When your aunt's father is a big honcho in the CIA then it doesn't look good to have your name on the no fly list.

For days, people have been talking drilling holes in pressure cookers. There’s no need. Just rig a wire through the steam vent.
