This is nothing more than corporations using government agencies to fight over a source of revenue, which just so happens to be a human being.

They didn’t realize they were moving to the USSA.

Nobody will do that. They have a perceived problem, which is parents abusing their kids. They have a solution, take the kids when they receive information, and then adjudicate.

They completely discount any harm to the children from being torn from their parents, and for purposes of saving kids, the parents don’t matter.

So, you have risk, and all the risk is that you DON’T act and then the kid is abused. There is no perceived risk in taking the child away, so therefore the default position is to take the kid away.

No CPS worker will lose their job for taking a kid and then returning them. They will consider that a success. They would lose their job, and the outcry would be great, if they decided NOT to take a kid, and then the kid was abused.

So with all the risk associated with choosing to leave a kid with the parents, and NO risk to taking them, there’s no way the politicians, the CPS, the police, or the health care profession will do anything but continue to report ANYTHING that vaguely looks like a problem.

No one has immunity for filing what they know to be a fraudulent report. CPS should have spoken with these parents first to get the full story, and should not have acted just on the basis of the initial report. CPS workers, supervisors, managers are sued all the time, and may not get assistance for their defense from the State Attorney General if there was clear negligence.
I think prior to CPS, when Law Enforcement made these removal decisions, that these tragedies of needless removals occurred less often.

“Nobody will do that”

Well, a case as this can change all that, if remedied correctly..neighbors, friends, big business connections especially. Especially when it becomes “their turn” and “everyone’s turn”....Whether it be mowing a lawn, eating a candy bar, “smoking” a pipe, changing your pants, walking up stairway, what kind of toothpaste.... how much a day do you brush, forced eyewear, forced audible “protection” devices, ........and of course how many times do I need to repeat.....

All under “AFFordable HealthCare” Extortion Act. 2014.

We had a case a few years ago in Pennsylvania where an Amish couple lost a daughter to a rare hereditary blood disorder. The blood disorder caused bruising on the young girl before she died.

Child Protective Services removed all seven of their children from the home and it took a lot of work to get the courts to return their children. You are assumed guilty until you can prove yourself innocent!

I’ll be praying for this couple and their baby! What a shocking experience! In America! Not that this is the first case I’ve heard of...and who knows what the government will do.

I’m surprised this thread doesn’t have more replies.

This could easily happen to any Freeper parent here.

True. It could happen to any parent who doesn't just allow a Dr./Nurse/Hospital to proceed without question or a 2nd opinion. No one is going to operate on any of my children's hearts without me first getting as many opinions as time allows.

Update on this story:

http://www.9news.com/news/article/333479/188/Baby-taken-from-parents-after-2nd-opinion-needs-surgery

From the article above:

The court also ruled Monday the parents must following all medical advice from now on, including not taking their child from Stanford without proper discharge.

This is a ruling that is void of any parental rights to choose what medical advice they will follow and where they can obtain that advice.

They've obviously decided to take full control of the child and the situation while simply allowing the parents to have a role on the sidelines.

It could indeed, but this is one of those experiences that need to happen to you personally, otherwise it's just to unpleasant to contemplate.

Anyone at all, for any reason at all, including malice, can report you to CPS and your rights are out the window. They come in -- or else. You comply -- or else. Stand on your rights or get offended, and they take your children. By force if necessary.

No two ways about it.

Resist force with force and you will be prosecuted to the max; and likely your child will be in foster care until age 18.

Also, the younger the child, the more the danger. I have seen CPS put a "hold" order on a baby not yet born, and they took him into custody at birth, for no reason but scurrilous gossip.

And I don't think they do it just because they can.
