I also believe these people will say I never saw any evidence, and all these responses will be brought before them. They will be without excuse.
Judaism has its role to play, but it did not give Genesis to the world. The Angel who spoke to Moses in the desert did.
Dear Sister, your wish is my command: '-)

Of course, there is a ready "explanation" (well, almost) for the anisotropy: It's called, "BOSS" (no joke or pun intended...):
"BOSS" (Baryon [acoustic] Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey
As stated on that page:
"BOSS: Dark Energy and the Geometry of Space The SDSS-III's Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (BOSS) will map the spatial distribution of luminous red galaxies (LRGs) and quasars to detect the characteristic scale imprinted by baryon acoustic oscillations in the early universe. Sound waves that propagate in the early universe, like spreading ripples in a pond, imprint a characteristic scale on cosmic microwave background fluctuations. These fluctuations have evolved into today's walls and voids of galaxies, meaning this baryon acoustic oscillation (BAO) scale (about 150 Mpc) is visible among galaxies today. "
(Emphasis mine...)
This concept is illustrated above, as the latter image in my comment #66. (The SDSS website states that some of the relative scales were exaggerated for illustration purposes).

Of course, the above "(almost) explanation" begs the question,
What (or Who) initiated the (anisotropic) acoustical baryon oscillations -- ("sound waves") within the compresed, isotropic volume of energy/matter that, supposedly, expanded / transmuted from the initial (pure energy?) singularity?
That question would seem to be a far stretch -- were it not for this passage preserved and passed down to us for millenia by our Judaic spiritual "elder brothers":
Genesis 1
New International Version (NIV)The Beginning (Emphasis added)
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
. 3 And God said, Let there be light, and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.
YMMV, but, I find it striking that -- millenia before humankind had any concept of baryons perturbed by acoustic vibrations -- or of energy / matter bound into darkness by gravity until until expansion reached the point where free photons were able to exist -- the selfsame events were described in this primitive manner that presaged our discovery or theorizing about them.
Granted, if today, the same revelations were made, no doubt, better terms than "the waters", "the deep" and "the earth" (before it existed) would be available for use. Not so for the scribe (Moses?) who, millenia ago. recorded the same events we discuss today -- in a vowel-less proto-language that lacked the concepts (much less the terms) to describe them as we would today. As a physical chemist, I find it striking that we are just now struggling to understand and describe events that were recorded for us (strikingly well, considering the linguistic / conceptual limitations, IMHO) many millenia ago, in our primitive past...

"Baryon acoustic vibrations...
"And God said..."
Hmmmm... 'Werry interestink.'.. '-)
I agree with you in amazement at how these scientific discoveries underscore the accuracy of Scripture!
God is the author and keeper of His own words.
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it. - Isaiah 55:11
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. - Matt 5:18
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned. - I Cor 2:11-14
yes.
"There is no one so blind as he who refuses to see."
Such a refusal has nothing to do with reason, or scienzia. It must stem from some dark impulse of the heart.
Or as Plato, Aristotle, Cicero, et al. diagnosed it, from some pneumopathological disorder called nosos [Plato], nosemos [Aristotle], or aspernatio rationis ["contemptutous rejection of reason" Cicero].
I very much doubt that many contemporary people have even a clue of what these men were talking about.
This is going to sound very drastic; but to me, such willful blindness seems to indicate a refusal to be fully human.... It represents a rejection, both of man's created nature, and of the human condition itself....
"A picture is worth a thousand words!"
It seems clear to me that "picture" of the CMB at close to the initial state of the universe is not of an isotropic ("random") distribution.
As Sir Fred Hoyle put it, it very much looks as if some "superintellect has monkeyed with physics."
I do not see how the numerous universal physical constants which appear to be the "initial conditions" of an evolving material universe compossible with life and mind can have arisen from randomness, chaos. No more than the beauty of the world can have arisen randomly. Or even the physical laws themselves.
Thank you so very much, dear brother in Christ, for your splendid essay/post!
What a simply brilliant observation, dear brother in Christ! Thank you ever so much!
Indeed! Imagine that!!!
But imagination seems to be the very thing that is lacking in folks who think the Holy Scriptures are the ignorant fulminations of a bunch of ancient goat herders.
It is not a lack of imagination but a lack of credulity and an inability to abandon reason and accept things on faith.
It is not a lack of imagination but a lack of credulity and an inability to abandon reason and accept things on faith.
It takes a lot of faith to believe atoms are little balls rolling around other little balls like a pin ball machine..
You know.... when they ain’t....
Most scientists and a vast number of “the Little people” have believed THAT; none of which still have an inkling of what Quantum Physics actually is.. or even the Quantum Physicists so far(LoL)...
Dark Matter(energy) could be the Spiritual Realm which as good as an explantion as any other I know about.. and I know of quite a few..
The “Lack of Faith” in something, portends arrogance and hubris.. according to my experience.. Which is OK with me.. Heck most people I know think Barry Half-White is black when he as white as he is black.. It takes faith to believe he is black..
Yes; even democrats have faith in some things.. which mostly strains credulity.. Science fiction MUST BE very logical or whats the point?... Reality need not be logical at all... You know.. nothing to prove..
What is... “IS” and what ain’t .... “AIN’T”..
Boy oh boy do I have a response for you, but you’re going to have to wait, probably till tomorrow because I am working until the wee hours tonight.
But, we can each address the truth in our own, uniquely diverse, God-given words and imagery -- so that, perhaps, light might reach through -- even to someone to whom we are not addressing them directly...
My personal discussions with you, my "light-bringer" Sisters, (who certainly need no convincing) are often shared openly here in that very hope.
However, I must admit that very rarely do I leave our "like-minded three-ways" without being far more blessed than beforehand! :-)
Thank you, Dear Sisters in Christ!!!
Besides... we never know who just might be lurking and "reading over our shoulders"... '-)
Ping me to that ‘response’, please. I have a couple of notions to toss at you, too.
And, that dark impulse of the heart stems from a colossal ego which spurs such a person to put himself before the Lord, that is, that person who scorns those who are meek and put the Lord first. From which comes the meaning of the Meek (see Psalms 25:8-9 and Matthew 5:5 for they shall inherit the earth.)
