“You know, the Supreme Court has made that decision,” she answered. “And, it's one of the protected liberties under our Constitution, and I respect the constitutional protections that are in place today whether it be for this purpose or whether it be for other protected purposes in the Constitution. I don't think we can pick and choose.”
I always wondered what sort of mental gymnastics it took to find abortion in the right of privacy?
Had she kept her lady parts private she wouldn't be knocked up to start with.

What the hell is this womans problem?
Jealous that she is a duly elected State Legislator and yet a grad student nobody like Sandra Fluke was getting far more attention than she was.

Please do, run for governor, Wendy.
With THAT attitude about unlimited abortion, your campaign is dead in the water.

and there should be no restrictions at all placed upon it. Wow.. she's right out of the Pelosi moonbat mold, isn't she? By her line of thinking, any child right up to the point of natural birth can be aborted.

Abortion is sacred ground? Wow, killing babies is their CHURCH. Can u conceive of something more gristly and twisted? And that question is coming from a pretty non-religious person.
Wendy is pretty religious...

The Washington Post recently pointed out, that a majority of women, even more than men, support the 20-week ban. And you damned well know the support for that ban is higher in Texas.

Hey Wendy, since you love all abortions, why dont you take one for the cause and abort yourself right now, you can call it a late late late late abortion
She can't. Vampires are hard to kill.
To: ScottinVA
The media has some funny criteria.
Abortions always kill a fetus.
But fetuses killed in car wrecks and similar tragedies are called unborn children.

Geez, why doesnt she just go all in and raise it to 5 yrs old just in case they change their mind. Good Grief.
They will attempt to do exactly that during our lifetimes.
To: fwdude
She will also get votes just because she is female; people in TX may yet repudiate the Republicans; probably by 2018 if not earlier.

She can expect big campaign donations from militant, man-hating feminazis.

Giving a speech to a receptive audience is the ultimate preparation for higher office. (See Obama, Barack- Democratic Convention 2004).

Is it a "protected liberty she respects", or does she believe in "common-sense limitations for the public good"?

There really is nothing new under the sun. Many pagan religions of the past used child sacrifice as part of their "worship". The ancient Caananites and Ammonites (ancestors of today's "Palestinians") worshipped Moloch. The significant portion of the practice was as follows:
A large hollow metal statue of Moloch was built with its metal arms outstretched. A fire would be built in a chamber at the base of the statue, and the statue would be heated to red-hot. Then parents would place their living infant children in the glowing arms of the statue to be burned alive.
As horrendous as that image is, it is not any worse than the image of a child being ripped limb from limb in the wound, or having scissors shoved into its skull just before it exits the birth canal.
