I admit to having his slap-chop and his sticky glicky, or whatever, and they do work. I didn’t buy them off the infomercial, but from a store that specializes in such products.

I recognize him now. He had a series of late-night infomercials that were staged to look like late-night talk show interviews.

Years ago i received one of his books “Natural Cures, what they don’t want you to know” as a Christmas gift. I never made it past the preface. To the trash can it went.

Not sure why he is in judgement for his weight loss books. He basically repeated the Dr. Simeon protocol from 50 years ago..and a $37 million fine for a spurious weight loss book? I guess the shelves at my local Barnes and Noble would could fund the national debt!IIRC you bought the book that directed you to a website/ 1-800 number that charged for the information that was already supposed to be in the book.

He started a pro-pool tour a few years ago, called the International Pool Tour. He had some big payouts the first year, then the last tournament he stiffed the winners, saying the checks would be mailed next week (hehe). Dragged on for a year, most got paid in monthly installment. Some of the vendors are still out thousands.
This is the sanitized version:

Shame Don LaPre is dead but at least Trudeau can rot for his offenses against common sense, truth, good taste and honesty.
The sad part is that his book was a best seller. No doubt there is a huge amount of overlap between his ‘readers’ and Obama voters.

It’s called ‘Peonage’ I believe and no I don’t think it’s legal.

Forget throwing Trudeau into jail. How about throwing the owners of all those cable TV stations into jail who sell their souls to this guy and allow him to peddle his garbage on their cable TV stations. It seems they do not believe they have any responsibility to make sure the products advertised on their stations are legitimate.

He criticized a government bureaucracy (FDA).
He was sued by a government bureaucracy (FTC).
He was jailed by a government judge.
That’s what it’s all about.
To: Libloather
does that mean his infomercials will stop being aired? good.
