“And he needs to get in line,”
So be a sheep, be a goose stepper and march along with us to the bible burning.
Yes, the stations that took them off did so due to fan
complaints. An article I posted here on FR in Sept of 2011, 8 yrs after the controversy,
said they still weren’t welcome on many stations:
>>Its a similar situation in Richmond, Va., where WKHK PD Buddy Van Arsdale reports, We dont play any Dixie Chicks. Richmond tends to be conservative, and playing them just riles up a very vocal part of our audience. I would be willing to bet its a small percentage, but like the Tea Party members, they are loud!
And, yet, none of these actions is a violation of freedom of speech. I don’t necessarily like it, but if you say something that makes your employer look bad to your current and future customers, or if it offends your fan base, expect repercussions.
Let’s cut to the chase on this subject.
Bottom line is that the Bible teaches that homosexuality is a sin. Their argument is with God and the scriptures.
If you have an issue with that, then start working to have the Bible banned in America as hate literature. Throw in the koran (or whatever it’s called) as well.
That’s the battle, not the people who believe. Don’t kill the messenger.
Wilson Cruz
I keep telling myself that the vast majority of owners of the 300 million or do privately held firearms in this country are Conservatives, and that at some point the Left is going to overreach and start something they have no way of controlling, let alone finishing.
Its going to be ugly, and not something anyone with half a brain wants, but in my bones I can just feel it’s coming. And I hope and pray that it’s not a Conservative that starts it ... its incredibly important to allow them to commit the first overt act.
I bet a Wilson Cruz looks like the fag in pajamas from the website
Wilson Cruz was born in Brooklyn, New York to parents of Puerto Rican descent. His family eventually moved to Rialto, California where he attended Eisenhower High School, graduating in 1991. At age 19, Cruz came out to his parents as gay, first to his mother and then his father. While his mother was initially hurt and shocked, she eventually accepted the news. His father, however, threw him out of the house, and Cruz spent the next few months living in his car and at the homes of friends.
Cruz works with and advocates on behalf of LGBT youth, especially youth of color. He has volunteered his time as host for the Youth Zone, an online community at Gay.com for LGBT youth. He was the Grand Marshal of the 1998 West Hollywood Gay Pride parade and the 2005 Chicago Pride Parade. In 2008, he was the keynote speaker at the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Lavender Graduation and Rainbow Banquet honoring graduating LGBT students.
Cruz joined the board of directors of GLAAD in 1997 in order to assist the organization through a leadership transition, and joined the staff of GLAAD in 2012 as a National Spokesperson and Strategic Giving Officer.

Actually, what Wilson Cruz said can be construed as threatening and intimidation and therefore a violation of peoples’ civil rights.
Why does this even exist? I guess because the hetero's were dominating all the other awards banquets.....

@moore44 Both Mr. Baldwin & Mr. Robertson were given an opportunity to denounce their statements and declined. So, #consequences

Wilson Cruz
@moore44 Actually, he’s ALREADY gone. Buh-bye
Guess the Pope better “get in line” as well.
Agreed, but I was referring to raccoonradio’s list of people fired/suspended for their actions.
“For the cattle car?”
No, for the showers. The ones where your biggest worry ISNT about dropping the soap ,,,
Christians are fed up with being pushed around and ridiculed. The homos have underestimated the degree to which Christians are ready to push-back. They will regret they started this when it finally breaks open.
Creeps like this Cruz character best dial it back because he is pushing things to the point of no return.
No Mr. Cruz, he nor anyone else "needs to get in line."
Oh, and Mr. Cruz be careful, or you will be added to the List.

The country may be disillusioned and frustrated with the reckless and insane Dems, but we have become a largely passive population that is content with spending most of our time on the couch. Much like the Romans, we enjoy our bread and circus routine rather than doing anything constructive or impactful to better our lives. Its hard to even get a few “patriots” to show up for a Tea Party rally much less mount a significant demonstration.
There may be some voter push back at the polls next year but nothing along any revolutionary lines. The country is just too oblivious, distratcted and passive to engage in anything like that IMO.
Got me a cool new hat & Miss Kay's cookbook on the way.
