Seems the East Coast is experiencing a lot of explosions, lately.
Savannah-area fire officials begin investigation into massive fire at Georgia ports
snip-”massive blaze that destroyed much of a structure that had housed nearly 2,000 tons of rubber at Savannahs port.”
My son in law works there , he text my daughter windows blown out as well as a concrete wall and says part of the building has split. many with chemical burns and a lot of bloody people but no deaths 2 people airlifted out. no cause yet.
Thank you, ontap. Cue theme music. LOL!
btt
Thanks he’s ok just got there for second shift at 2pm.
I work there too, on the second floor. After a rolling shake, the final blast felt like the floor was picked up six inches and dropped!
From my office, we can see down the entire length of the building, and while the windows weren’t broken, there was debris from the ceiling and white smoke. When we evacuated through the fire doors, we could see that the first floor windows had been blown out with glass and debris blasted across the area.
Luckily, those in my office could grab their coats before leaving. I felt sorry for all of the people on the manufacturing floor and the clean room, who may have only had shorts and a T-shirt or the bunny suits. It took a while for some buses to be brought in for shelter.
Probably a bunch
12 O’Clock High comes to mind. (Watched it this past Saturday)
Not to mention Hogan’s Heroes.
Prayers up for all concerned.
Guy I went to school with was a semi-bigwig there.
Ball bearing plant? I suspect Hogan, Newkirk, Sgt Carter, and LeBeau.
I’m glad your well fellow freeper.
