Why are Republicans banging the drums?
Let Obama own it - tell everyone we are waiting for HIS proposed solutions.

The world behaves like a welfare state because we treat them like it. Maybe its time for a reminder of what the world was like without us.

Senators,
Can you name the two young men that were killed yesterday in Afghanistan? No? Then tread carefully before you get America committed to losing more of its young men an women.

a high-powered group of Republican senators First off, there is no such thing. Its an oxymoron if there ever was one.
And second, even if there was, it would be the best of the worst.

Why are Republicans banging the drums?
********
Because they are the Stupid Party. But you’re absolutely right. They should stay out of it; let Obama own this fiasco. He favored the “reset”; just sit back and watch him try to extricate himself from the quicksand he’s in now.

Current level plus “more active” equals 49. Less active equals 47, and 3 percent are goobers with no opinion.

I personally think we should concern ourselves more with our own hemisphere.

We should be doing something, had we acted in 1939 history would have been much different. However, with this “commander in chief” if we do act it will be to help the wrong side.

I've about had it with the fight everyone for everything crowd in the GOP and Dims too.
We need to rest and rebuild.
Much of our equipment is worn out and needs replacement/repair and many of our men are tired.
Ukraine is nowhere near the top 10 security interests of the USA.

Bob Corker used to be considered conservative, but recently he seems to have turned into a RINO jerk.

We should be doing something, had we acted in 1939 history would have been much different Careful there. In 1914 World War I started because the Great Powers just had to do something. That war would have been avoided if the Great Powers would have just kept out the Austrian-Serbian crisis.
So is the current Russian-Ukrainian situation more like 1939 (action needed) or more like 1914 (stay out of it)? I vote for 1914.

Why are Republicans banging the drums?
Because they're the adults in the room. Somebody has to stand up to Putitler.
But note, they're not talking about sending in Amercian troops, but rather helping Ukraine to become stronger and better able to defend themselves against Russian thuggery.
What conservative has a problem with that?
