This defeat of Cantor, by a Tea Party unknown, should have Thad Cochran in MS and Pat Roberts in KS peeing in their pants.
"Republicans fighting primary elections around the country are complaining about the interference of Patriot Majority, a group that sounds like a Tea Party outfit and has targeted candidates for not being sufficiently conservative, and yet is in fact a conduit for Democratic money hoping to cause trouble." So freedom is bad for America!
.
“He was in fact the Tea Partys guy in the leadership”
First I heard of it. But then again, I’m not a regular reader of The Daily Beast.
According to Tomasky, it’s bad for America when an elected politician who has become out of touch with his district loses a primary.
According to Tomasky, it’s bad for America when gobs of campaign cash can rescue a failing politician from the voters.
According to Tomasky, it’s bad for America when a candidate blatantly lies about his position on amnesty is voted out of office.
According to kevkrom, Tomasky is an idiot.
You cannot advocate for law-breaking and win Republican nominations.
Get used to it.
They’re running scared that those people who were naively looking for “hope and change”, and who are abandoning Obama in droves, are looking for somewhere new to go.
They’ve given up on the Democrat establishment, and they’re not about to go with the Republican establishment. But an appealing Tea Party candidate is another matter.
And that’s one way to win the general election.
The Obama White House (ah, why isn't the "white" house racist?) tells us that Cantor didn't lose due to the immigration issue. Okie-dokie.
