Add Conservative to that statement and I will get excited.
The American voter is his own worst enemy.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
And yet, I am willing to bet real money that in December of 2015, nothing will have changed.
I do. If you don’t like the republican, I can understand why, but to let more Democrats in the door doesn’t make sense to me. Just don’t vote
“...I think that RINOs are, by nature, followers ...”
I think they’re gutless, spineless cowards, who forgot how to reach down, find their pair, and remind themselves that they’re American MEN, first and foremost.
I hope you are correct regarding Senator Cruz, friend. But the untrustworthy nature of people who can’t decide between doing what’s RIGHT versus what’s popular at the fickle moment virtually guarantees that the “moderates” will stick us in the back at the worst possible moment.
Just my take on it.
I would rather this came from God’s mouth to our ears.
Yeah, that’s the song everyone here likes to sing...
But if the GOP wins the Senate and puts a leader in place who’s no better than Boehner has been in the house, we will still be far better off. And we should hope for a much better leader than McConnell, but even if comes to that, we will be better off. Perfect is the enemy of the good.
To those who want a perfect Conservative leader, I say “get ready to wait 15 years or more for a 3rd party to form and gain strength, or tell us how you will be taking control of the GOP”. Nothing has been done on either since 2012 aka “the most important election in our lifetime”. What makes you think it will now?
*Sob!*
Let's go for IT ALL.
“You damn purists are as crazy as the envirowackos and are the reason we have the one for a second term.”
I agree with you 100%.
Sure. LIVs too. I am serious.
Not one dime’s worth of difference. They’ll be power sharing.
They are setting the bar low so if the Republicans don’t get as many seats, they can claim victory
the story is trying to set up republicans for a big disappointment.
REPUBLICANS FAVORED TO WIN!!!!.....followed by gnashing of teeth and pulling of hair on this thread...bizarre.
Exactly. The GOP-e `Treebeards’: “Let’s not be hasty. We must harrumph for several months, then we can deal with the Orcs and goblins, giving them what they want so they will leave us alone and go after the TEA party riff raff. Haroooooommmm!”
I didn’t get a harrumph out of that guy.
Love the sound of hand-wringing at wapo...
“They want the republicans to become overconfident.”
Maybe so, but it could also tell the RAT voters (who are notoriously lazy). “WTF, might as well stay home with a beer and watch TV.”
