But a majority clearly did not consent to the sort of leadership Obama has provided - Obama the candidate was completely different than Obama the president.
Governments derive their just power from the CONSENT gibsmedats.
Please pardon if this sounds harsh, but Obama doesn't care what you consider consent. He won with a clear majority in the popular and electoral votes in both 2008 and 2012, and that gave him consent.

A majority voted for him in 2012, after Obamacare was passed, after Benghazi, and after he told Medvedev he would have more leeway after the elections. The electorate knew all of this in 2012, but elected him anyway.
But since his entire campaign was a lie, as is nearly everything thats come out of his mouth since he was elected, he cannot morally claim the 'consent of the governed'. For what thats worth.
He has the consent of the flukes, the homosexuals, the union thugs, and the other takers who elected him, and he's given them what they want. As far as they're concerned, he has their consent.
The electorate should have known, but they didn't, in no small measure because the MSM has made it their mission to conceal the truth and defend their savior.
We curmudgeonly types here hardly represent the voting populations level of awareness of all things political. I will bet you have relatives that know almost nothing of the things of which you speak. Willful ignorance is hard if not impossible to overcome.

You're right, but only because we (the producers) are too busy getting up, going to work, cashing our paychecks, paying taxes, bills, mortgage, non-subsidized health care, hoping to have enough cash to grab a six pack to drink while watching the football game to do anything about.
Ultimately, that means we, the producers, consent to the gibsmedats taking over. We will continue to consent, because anything else would jeopardize our version of the American dream, which is already dead. So, we're remaining complacent and complicit over something that doesn't exist. Bottom line? It's time to go Galt. Or, shut up, accept the chains of slavery while drinking that beer and watching that game.
If you are:
Paying taxes, trading FRN's, submitting to background checks to buy a firearm, using a government subsidized health plan, asking permission to build/expand your property, etc. etc. etc., then he has your consent as well.

I think we can can take it for granted that everyone knew about Obamacare in 2012. As for the others, Google democraticunderground and either Benghazi or "obama medvedev open mic". The left knew, but the flukes, unions, EBT crowd, and homosexuals thought their issues were more important.
Afraid so. We let La Raza march in the streets demanding citizenship, whats more we fund them with tax dollars. I was born a free man in 1938, I will die in soft chains, my children will not be so fortunate, of that I am certain.
