When Principles Are More Important Than Practicality
A candidate which will cause another 4 million conservative to sit home and guarantee a Democrat win is the best way for the good old boy Republicans to hold onto their principles, power, money, perks, and prestige.
And the 4 million conservatives who will sit home will with their panties in a wad, sniffing their socks help insure that the US becomes a Third World country, thus eliminating any chance that conservatives will ever come to power again. Those conservatives will have made their point: principles are more important than practicality.
