we tried a brilliant, charismatic “speechifier” last time, and we got petulance, a weaponized IRS, and abject incompetence. after that, maybe bland isn’t such a bad thing.
Yeah that other midwest guy who became president...what was his name....Reagan? Yeah, no charisma at all.
Think about what the man has withstood. He had every cause to appear jubilant and victorious; yet he spoke graciously and humbly. I enjoyed seeing a man who was clearly grounded, who appreciated his supporters, and had SOLID convictions. I’ll take that any day, over hype and pizzazz.
We need someone with Reagan’s confidence, disposition and delivery coupled with his hard conservative freemarket principles.
Reagan is the only president who did well in a second term. We need men who will announce that they are one term, and then stick to that. We need Coolidge.
I don’t want a Made for TV leader, just somebody who actually reads bills before committing to them. Somebody who knows their facts and can alter their opinions based on them, debates without rancor or shenanigans, knows the limits of their responsibilities and what they were elected to do, loves their families and bolsters their communities and follows the law.
Would Putin be an example to follow? Hollande? Morsi? Biden? Jerry Brown? Cameron?
VOX is a clearinghouse for losers. Good luck keeping up VOX - you’re going to need it.
If the Sultan had stepped down after one term, the Democrats would probably have pretty much everything now. Conservative presidents should work hard for one term and step down with aother conservatives waiting in the wings. Democrats should always insist on second terms.
And now we’re gonna have a new busload of primary... trolls.
Coolidge a perfect example. I would even say Washington is a better example. We need men who can prove that they’re not power-hungry tyrants.
Amen, sir. I am firmly behind the Draft Ben Carson movement.
Cruz/Walker 2016
Carson wanted registration of all firearms and a ban on all semi-autos in cities. He “changed his mind” this year, although his change of heart sounds extremely unconvincing.
I’ll take a big pass on Carson.
I’ve checked out Vox.
One thing about it that is important to know is that it is not conservative.
Expect a lot more anti-Walker propaganda and don’t fall for it.
What in the world are you talking about? He was very good. Articulate, even eloquent, genuine, forceful, funny at times, personable.
I could definitely support Walker for national office.
He sounds like an entertainment-addled d-bag who probably screams like a girl when he sees Brad Pitt on TV.
On his record I absolutely would support him in 2016 too.
Be we are informed voters. The LIVs just want a rock star.
That’s what worries me so much about squishes like Perry or Christie
Andrew says Walker ain’t purdy enuff.
A good consultant, if they can get their hands on the guy, could change is speech making in a month or so. It’s like watching game films. But it takes time, and you have to check your ego at the door. Because it sucks being told you suck.
“Andrew says Walker aint purdy enuff.”
His Lt. Gov sure is pretty enough LOL
With no experience in elected office, and no vetting of any skeletons in his closet. Remember another promising candidate named Herman Cain?
