I was about to hype up a Scott Walker 2016 run. Then I watched his victory speech.

When will we ever learn to quit voting for pretty faces and cute personalities?

The day we stop voting for/against candidates based on one issue.

Charisma as in AL Gore and Hillary? Of coarse the republicans have Dole and McCain.

The things complained of can and will be fixed by a good campaign manager. Look for management talent from some of the successful Senatorial campaigns this time.

I don’t know if I would support Walker in 2016 if he runs but he is certainly the most battle tested Republican out there. The Democrats in Wisconsin and nationally, plus their media allies, threw everything they could at Walker. They tried to destroy him politically and personally in two elections and one recall in the last four years, and they’ve failed to get him out of office. He’s someone to admire and he certainly has vaulted himself to the national spotlight, if he hasn’t already.

I think he speaks better than, say, Paul Ryan. But he is horrid on amnesty and illegal immigration, being a borderline open-borders guy—so I don’t want to see him near national office.
