PM Harper has shown steady leadership of Canada during his time in office. In the last year, he is showing much more strength in his Christian beliefs, forgetting the 'politically correct' phases and calling 'a spade a spade'. Last month he called the attacks on Canadian Forces personnel 'terrorist' attacks, brought about by rabid islamism and he is standing up to Tsar Putin. I'm sure the Putinistas on FR will brand me and/or PM Harper as reactionary.

Got no beef with Harper — but he’s no Rob Ford.

Does he plan to send a UN mission there to deliver the ‘demand’? Or might he have the US do that (since that’s all we’re capable of too, now)?

it’s infinitely more ballsey than anything our esteemed president has said/done/thought/hallucinated on the matter.
I would trade our guy for that guy in a microsecond.

As a Putinista, does the Kremlin pay in rubles, USD or gold?

“According to MacDonald, Putin did not respond positively.”
I bet.

That’s a good thing. Rob Ford is a conservative version of ‘Plugs’, a gaffe a minute. Of course much of that comes from his addiction. Ralph Klein also used to get drunk and do stupid things. The good news is, a couple of years before he died, he came to the Lord.

To which Putin might have replied to Harper and his dad, Obama: "I guess I'll shake your hand but I have only twelve things to say to you: You need to get out of Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia." But Putin didn't have to say that, because he knows that neither Harper nor Obama holds any cards in the current mess they helped create in Ukraine.

Another upset Putinista heard from! I hope the Kremlin pays its little girls well.

"According to MacDonald, Putin did not respond positively.Really? I would have thought that Putin would have danced a nervous little jig like an adolescent school boy with an idiotic grin on his face. "My mistake sir, I'll get right on that." Yeah, right.
Harper may end of mysteriously dead in short order for embarrassing himself and Putin with that cheap stunt.

And no, I’m not a “Putinista” (clever little label), just a realist.

As he approached Putin to shake hands, Harper nearly tripped over the kneeling Obama.

And PM Harper’s speaking the truth is ‘embarrassing himself’ in what way? The truth is now ‘embarrassing’ to some FReepers?
Pathetic!

the other reporting is saying Putins left the summit because things are escalating in Ukraine. Either or he’s leaving early it seems.

Obviously, you have some national or personal insight into Putin. Is it true that he's a closet queer like Hitler?

Heard on the net:
Ukraine will be asking Australia what they did to get Putin to leave.

It is, in fact, Steven Harper who is showing leadership in the West. It most certainly is not your _resident. UK PM Cameron shows no leadership in his aspirations that the UK PM’s office be held by an ‘Asian’, nor does Comrade Hollande of France. It falls to Harper to be the honest one, the only Christian of the bunch, speaking the truth to the would be ‘tsar’.

It’s highly doubtful that the funny little man in the pointy hat or millions of European-minded fascist followers will save Putin. Underneath all of pagan crud that has slithered into political positions in our nation, this is still America. We should act like decent Americans and always be ready to kill foreign commies or fascists.
