I’ve been called out as being insensitive for saying this:

It is possible to be "insensitive" and correct simultaneously. The problem is not "radical islam." The problem is "islam." We are engaged in another iteration of the war ignited in the Arabian Peninsula in the 600's. If all the "radicals" were "pacified" today with islam left intact, it would be a short time, historically, before another sayed qutb would arise to reradicalize. It is baked in to the islamic cake.
