They should bust ass to make a ton of arrests. All for of fences requiring jail time and where fines are not even an option.
Flu is bad in some areas this year, so don't be suprised if Blue Flu will strikes NYC.
And with the epidemic of Obamacare rampent I doubt a doctor's excuse for an absense costs more than $20 per day cash even in NYC.

He demands more tickets? Just watch. Cops often have a wonderful sense of humor. Watch as the mayors offices, neighborhoods, friends, and fave hangouts get a LOT of attention.

And don’t forget that the thing that started it all was cops hassling a guy over lack of a NYC tax stamp on nickle and dime stuff he was selling.
So, the whole debacle is about confiscatory policies feeding the City Treasury, not making the city safe for its peasants.

Agents of the government are expected to keep the wheels on by generating revenue. All in the form of fines, citations, seizures, taxes on and on.
Police unions should be dissolved for illegally extorting taxpayer dollars. All police force should be voluntary, just like all gubmint jobs should be minimum wage with no “benefits”.
