Got me. Lack of common sense, I figure.
Damn, next time I have a band I'll have to remember to make a bunch of T-shirts....
They were virtual nobodies playing a $1 admission beer garden at the U of O. I’d like to think the free T-shirts helped launch their careeres. The ones that lived, anyway.
I've got a Verizon-carrier iPhone 5c. If I needed to wipe it, I'd have to back up my contacts and apps as well as the music and photos, not to mention all the settings like email account server info and passwords and the 40-bazillion little adjustments made over time... I'm not worried about the music and photos -- I already have them copied from/to my Mac. I'm worried about all the rest of it.
What's the best way to do it? For example, when iTunes is going to do a sync, it says it is "backing up the phone" first -- but does that actually save all the contacts and settings? If so, how can I verify that? is there a way to examine the backup database on my Mac and actually verify what all is in there?
And if that isn't really a total and complete backup of my phone's settings etc., how do I accomplish it?
And (with no offense intended) I am NOT going to put that stuff in iCloud. I trust Apple as much as I trust anybody, but I don't trust anybody other than my own machines and network with that info. So what I'm looking for is a local copy, not a cloud copy.
A lack of modesty and a lack of decency.
Apple doesn’t want you to control your own files and stuff, that is why there is not a USB or SD card on the Iphones and Ipads.
Not sure I understand you. My iPhone has USB. I got a USB cable with my iPhone, it plugs into my computer, and the iPhone shows up on the list of "connected devices". That's how I update iOS and the apps, transfer music and photos, etc. In fact it's USB 3.0 so it's fast too. I just don't know whether it backs up contacts and settings.
(I don't miss an SD card, frankly. It's got plenty of storage and when I want different songs I just re-sync it to my main collection.)
Same with the iPad, BTW, though it’s older and only USB 2.0, not 3.0.
I wonder if they were born that stupid or did they apply themselves to arrive at that pinnacle of DUH.
I suspect they worked at it. Even a 6-yr old has more common sense than they showed.
I’m always stunned when posters say “She should eat some more hamburgers” They must like a fat girl to keep the warm!
Worked with a guy that loved BIG women. His philosophy was "A sports car is nice to look at but I like to ride a Cadillac."
Made me shudder.
How can one genuinely judge guilt or innocence without seeing the evidence? Come on - fair trail and all...
