Instead of arguing with Paul over the Parents right to vaccinate, intelligent follow-up questions would be helpful to provide insight to a man who wants to be president. For example

Given the parent has the right.... at a public school funded by taxpayers, does a school board have the right to require measles vaccination to attend school?

Does a private company such as Disney have the right to require vaccinations of visitors to its park?

If an unvaccinated child infects another child with the measles and as a result of the infection, the child dies or is disabled, are the parent criminally and/or civilly responsible?

Yep. The interview was a complete waste of time, and it’s on her. It was a terrible interview.

It was interesting when she argued cost, when, in fact his point is freedom.

Yeah, the free course can be more expensive. If you want comfort over freedom, move to Singapore.

Exactly. That is how a Fox interview by Gretta may have gone. Thing is, it can take “work” to come up with those questions. You can try to belittle a person on the fly. :-D

I think he looked rude and un-presidential. She stayed classy and that's why I think this interview is going to come back and bite him in the butt. It doesn't matter that she's a liberal shill. He treated her like a crazy kid, instead of a professional who is giving him air time. The feminists will be out for his blood.

Full disclosure: Rand Paul is not high on my list of 2016 hopefuls, but I'd vote for him before I'd pull the lever for Jeb Bush.

I am not a supporter of Rand Paul. I just hate the way the media treats certain Republican candidates and never treats liberals the same way.

Wasn't implying that you were.

As far as those putting all the negative stuff they can online every time Rand Paul's name comes up? They must have an agenda. Rand Paul's openness and willingness to think for himself, and sometimes change views as he gets more information, is refreshing.

You're right, I do.

My agenda is to make sure people do not forget what Rand Paul really is. A GOP-E Pandering Libertarian not fit for the POTUS chair.

And BTW, if you are honest about it, we all have "agendas".

You think Rand Paul is a worse choice than Christie, Jeb or Walker (etc ad nauseum)? I see Rand Paul as much more capable of being able to think for himself, and with some independent views.

Why don't you come out as forcefully against those three?

Hush now. Soon you’d be hearing the caterwauling of the “....vote for Hillary instead”, “Loser/Liberal-tarians” or “electability” crowd.

Can’t have anyone thinking for themselves, off the (R) plantation, y’know.

Too many armchair warriors whom know medicine/human body better than Dr. Paul(s), since they know someone, who knew someone, who....

Otherwise, I think he did what they ALL should do: ENFORCE an even interview. Don’t allow ‘em to over-talk/demean/etc. like they usually do. It was a damned good change of pace that I don’t expect to see from many others of the (R).

No, I don't. But with his Amnesty plan and his pandering to the GOP-E, supporting the GOP-E candidates over the Tea-Party Candidates, he'll never get my vote. Ever.

Hate to break it to you, but it is the Tea-Party crowd that distrusts Rand Paul the most. Especially with his pandering to the GOP-E of late.

How can a vaccinated child get infected with measles from an unvaccinated child?

Can you say with as much certainty that you’d never vote for Christie, Jeb, or Paul Ryan?

Rand Paul is not my first choice. Nor my second or third. He is, however way better than any democrat since Harry Truman. If he somehow gets the GOP nomination, I will vote for him

Rand Paul :”1) Reiterated his contention that vaccines should be voluntary.
2) Said this: “I have heard of many tragic cases of walking, talking, normal children who wound up with profound mental disorders after vaccines.” (Michele Bachmann said something similar during the 2012 presidential campaign. It didn't go over well.) “

I recall in 2011 when Paul went on Maddow’s show on MSNBC and it wasn't pretty. He spent weeks backtracking his statements.

Is he getting his interview prepping from Sharon Angle?

Hat tip: Glen Beck show.

I like the Glen Beck show...when Glen Beck is not hosting.
