Criminal activity by a liberal in the act of persecuting anyone (more) conservative is not considered actionable in Travis county.
You don’t need to get into “perjury” here.
If McCrum misrepresented something to the court or otherwise lacked candor, he could be disbarred by the Texas Supreme Court or subject to some other kind of disciplinary sanction. This is because, even though he may not have been under oath, he has obligations as an “officer of the court” to act honorably and truthfully.
