Tim Cook is a typical liberal: A liar and an idiot, also known as a hypocrite.
He claims he won’t do business in States that have such laws, yet, he does business with entire nations that kill homosexuals.
Finally, someone defends Indiana.
And it isn’t a Christian organization...but a libertarian think tank.
Kudos to CATO. I don’t always agree with them, but good for them.
CEO’s used to worry about their companies. Now? They seem to be preoccupied with everything except their company. And the company’s board or stockholders doesn’t seem to care.
With Apples agreement to expand marketing and retail to Saudi Arabia I say Tim Cook and Apple support the punishment of Gay men with death and sometimes 450 lashes.
For Apple groupies on FR please produce ONE official statement from Apple that condemns Saudi Arabia for the governmental targeting of homosexuals.
If Cook had piped up about a California law, where he resides it would be a little different. What a fag.
“For Apple groupies “
Those groupies are paid trolls here to pump the Apple stock price. Why Jim allows that is beyond me.
Excellent essay.
But would he also end all anti-discrimination laws?
Aren’t there a bunch of states that already have such laws? Is he going to stop selling his products there?
Let’s ask ourselves this question ... SUPPOSE we did not have anti-discrimination laws at all, what would be the practical effect?
Would blacks or ethnic minorities be denied service because of the color of their skin for instance? Or will the marketplace sort it out?
Did the marketplace in fact sort it out when Jim Crowe laws were in existence?
1%er bully!
This isn’t the first time the Apple CEO has waded into the highly partisan and divisive area of gay politics.
Isn’t anyone in the company asking if it makes sense? He’s putting Apple’s name, their $billions of sales, their tens of thousands of employees, their $hundreds of billions of (mostly offshore) cash on this very explosive issue. Isn’t it extremely risky?
Obviously Cook and gays care more about their values than Christians do about theirs - or else all the Christian leaders would call for a boycott of apple products.
Why does Apple hate Christians?
Does anyone know whether he is "being clear" about the right to decline or the compulsion to accept? This throw-away line is very confusing.
RE: If I walk into a business and they say they do not want to do business with my kind (suit and tie/Christian) then I say good bye, and find another business.
Well, a liberal can argue that you can AFFORD to do that because you are the MAJORITY in this country. You have more choices as to where to do business because you are of the PRIVILEGED class.
They will then USE the constitution ( I know, I know, they use it selectively ) to say that the it protects minorities (e.g. gays) who might be discriminated upon by the majority.
Are you aware of the term, the term “White Privilege”? Well, it’s used all over our elite colleges.
Guessing, but about 17 or so have such a law. Interesting that Tim Cook, the homosexual, isn’t about to stop selling products to the Islamic States (57 by Obama’s count) that outlaw homosexuality with penalty of death.
Has he closed all the Genius stores in Indiana, told Best Buy to pull all Apple products off their shelves, quit selling iWhatevers here and stopped shipping their products to Indiana? If not then he needs to STFU.
Bakeries aren’t refusing to bake cakes for homosexuals. Undoubtely, thousands of Christian bakers have baked many kinds of cakes and pastries for people they knew were homosexuals. It’s the type of cake that’s the issue. Businesses should be allowed to set standards as they see fit.
