Columbo flourished in a day of higher public servant accountability. High on the list of FBI thou shalt nots were Thou Shalt Not Embarrass The Bureau. If you did, you were gone — no police union folderol, no huge investigation.
The reason the Trayvons and the Browns of the world get the anti hero statuses they do, even in the face of obvious documentation, is not entirely arisen in a vacuum.
There is a greater right and wrong beyond our fallible civil institutions, and it insists on making itself known even at the cost of travesty.
It is sad, but the revolution this group is referring to is likely a Marxist one.
And ...Even sadder, most of those at the concert likely voted for Obama.
I am not hopeful.
We also tend to expect more out of those with “licence to kill.”
Just observe... not if they knew that Bandidos were about to double cross Cossacks. It would not be a matter of whether the trouble, just when and how. The technically legally defensible thing to do was not the ethical thing.

I don’t think Americans have “always” demonized NAZIs. (And, they were demons who rightly brought about their demonization), but the left has, over the years, converted Nazism to a “right-wing”, facist meme, and I think it was with the intent to minimize the other demons: Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao and others with whom the left empathizes and is a part of.
Somehow they see the political right as more likely to be the drivers of school buses of the damned...if it comes to that.
It's not all entirely lost -- yet.
Some of the 'youth' have been so thoroughly subjected to leftist b.s. rhetoric, that after a while a few of them anyway, naturally sense that what they have been told is not entirely kosher.
Being easy on those persons whenever one encounters them, while offering counterpoint, conservative, more traditional view of things as alternative, has had effect upon *some* of them I have spoken with.
I guess we've got to keep 'putting it out there' as that saying goes...

I'm not sure what we can do. No one did anything when the TSA goons came along. There should have been plenty of passive resistance.
By the time they came to round my parents up to Siberia, and block-after-block of families were being herded into trucks to the cattle cars, it was too late. Yet, the ones who weren't able to hide, still kept thinking that if they resisted, they would immediately be shot. Versus dying in the cattle cars en-route, or a slow, tortured death at the camps.
I guess a leader always needs to step forward. Someone that people can follow and trust
They’ve done a good job of eliminating many of those potential leaders... like all the SEALS, Chris Kyle, so, so, so many others.
