Only if the gays allow it. Christians have no say in the matter.
To, ahem, ‘coexist’ with sodomites requires me to relinquish, lessen, let go of, my core belief that any other coupling, as opposed to male and female, is poison to my town and my country, and should be eradicated, as you, the reader, defines that.
Sure, the two can co-exist, so long as the Christians submît to a dhimmi-style situation as a condition for continued existence.
Failing that, the dark side wants us dead.
I can get along with just about anyone who is not in my face about it. One of my friends and fellow choir members is a gay, black disabled vet with a Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and one leg. We get along fine. We avoid topics we can’t agree on, discuss others, and work on our music together. Pretty simple really.
A goal is said to be to destroy “paternalism”, and so it is all on to destroy Christianity because God is considered to be male (Father, Son).
A fair number of these folks will also tell you altruism is bad. Mercy is the cornerstone of Christianity, so you can’t really “get along” with people determined to oppose you on your own turf over foundational beliefs.
You can’t really co-exist with someone who is trying to destroy you.
Tell you too, the last time I went to a Presbyterian Church a gay woman was offensively persistent in trying to pick me up. I don’t go to church to hook-up (and besides I’m straight, so eww!), I go to church to worship God and to study His word. I also live my life for other things than being relentlessly focused on people’s sexuality.

No. We cannot coexist. Even if the homosexuals leave Christians alone (and it is clear that they won’t), I support criminalizing their destructive behavior for the good of children, society in general, and even the homosexuals who need to be restrained by law from their own passions.
For me the tipping point in moving toward my intolerance is the realization that homosexuality is not a victimless crime. The worst aspect though is the destruction to innocent children exposed to this filth.
Homosexuals have fought and obtained custodial rights to children. They are adoptive parents. They are foster parents. And moral people should never have allowed this to happen in society.
The same apathy that allowed this to happen is the same apathy that a century ago allowed the German homosexual movement, better known as the Nazi movement, to rise to power. History is repeating itself. Conservatives will not be able to extricate ourselves from this mess without a similar hard-fought battle.

Well, it looks like Vladimir Putin is doing the right thing in Russia then by your lights, but not like your proposal.
Gays cannot PUBLICLY display gay prides or parade in Russia but can do anything they want in private.
