If you’ve ever been to Marion, Ohio, you’ve seen the Harding tomb, which is one of the most impressive memorials to any of the presidents.

Warren Harding was President from 1921 to 1923. He DIED in office. Is it REALLY NECESSARY to call him “ex-President Harding”?
And yes, I’ve seen “former President Abraham Lincoln,” too.

I don’t think Coolidge had anything to do with Harding’s handling of the 1920-21 depression. Fortunately, Wilson didn’t need any help doing nothing. Harding’s success would be due to Andrew Mellon more than Coolidge. We forget nowadays how out-of-the-loop Vice Presidents were, until Nixon.
Had Coolidge run again in 1928, he would have made the depression of 1930 short, too, but he would have died in office.

Yes. History sh*ts on Harding thanks to that Teapot Dome nonsense, but he was an excellent President, one of the best of the 20th Century. Wouldn’t have been a great depression if the or Cal were still in charge then.

I noticed that Michigan has a Van Buren County and a Van Buren Township. Our state is into the #8 big time!
