Citrus? Is this going to be a replay of corn? Will orange juice prices quadruple as we put oranges in our tanks?

Your digestion must be different than mine. I don't eat orange peels.

"brand-new, non-toxic method of separating out the oil with the use of an orange-peel extract

Taking the waste product and making it useful is likely to drive prices down, not up.

Sure, that’s what they say now to disarm the critics, put you off balance, and get you to say “Wow! What a great idea.” Soon they’ll find there aren’t enough orange peels to meet production needs and they’ll be coming for the whole orange. We know how the claims work. Hold onto your oranges and wallet.

Peels and the fruit are not the same chemistry. There is more to the process than just the name.

Orange oil = d-limonene is derived from orange peel, it could jump in price, once this oil sand thing gets full speed.

Volume-wise, the Brazilians probably produce more than anyone else. If it really gets to going, it might drive down OJ prices due to the need for more d-limonene.

This “orange oil” has been touted as a “magical” solution for many things, some have worked OK, most are just a flash in the pan.

It magically kills all the termites in my house “naturally.” Right.

I wouldn’t count on it, but who knows, if the termite got it directly on them it might dissolve their shell.

d-limonene is a pretty good solvent.

Like I said its not new and has been over-promoted as “THE organic solution” to everything except maybe ED (that’s next).
