Donald Trump helped elect Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi with his financial backing. Trump praised Hillary and has contributed to her - along with Chuck Schumer and other Democrats that wrought the havoc of Obamacare. Trump lined up with those calling for universal healthcare.
“.....Trumps more recent comments about health care systems contradict each other, which experts say suggests he hasnt formed a clear position.
While bantering with David Letterman on Jan. 8, 2015, Trump voiced admiration for Scotlands publically funded health care system and suggested that the problem with the Affordable Care Act is its implementation. Heres a transcript of their exchange:
Letterman, recounting how cheap it is to treat injuries abroad: “In one case, I had my arm reattached and at the end of the procedure ... it was like $12 dollars!”
Trump: “A friend of mine was in Scotland recently. He got very, very sick. They took him by ambulance and he was there for four days. He was really in trouble, and they released him and he said, Where do I pay? And they said, Theres no charge. Not only that, he said it was like great doctors, great care. I mean we could have a great system in this country.”
Letterman: “Are people afraid of socialism?”
Trump: “Well, people are afraid of a lot of things. But its mostly incompetence. How do you spend $5 billion on a website, just the creation of the site itself, and it doesnt work? There are things you could do to give unbelievable healthcare and a much better healthcare system. Its a complicated topic, unfortunately.”
Experts told us Trump is either implicitly supporting a single-payer system or putting his foot in his mouth.”.....
Go pull up a hundred guys who’ve owned hotels, casinos, or resorts...then look at the bankruptcy rate. These guys are risk-takers...all of them. They know it too. Oddly, in almost every single case...they will exit the bankruptcy and go right back to the same business idea because they know someone will loan them the money and eventually they will hit success.
Meanwhile, I would be curious if CNN money would put some investigative analysis onto Bill Clinton’s Foundation, or on how President Obama financed his first home in Chicago. Or, am I asking too much?
I guess Trump's investments in politicians like Pelosi, Reid, Schumer, Rangel, Clinton, etc was calculated too.
Trump is red. Huffington Pollster - average of polls. Updated saturday.
Your point is, what?
ONe bankruptcy Trump described was a business he bought from a friend that was having trouble with a nasty bank. Trump said he told the bank “don’t do that” don’t go there”. They didn’t listen so he threw it in chapter. I can understand doing that to teach a nasty bank a lesson.
Trump says a lot of things:
(CNN)Before Donald Trump was a front-running Republican presidential candidate, the real estate mogul believed that the nation’s economy ran better when Democrats were in control and that Hillary Clinton would be a strong negotiator with foreign nations.
“In many cases, I probably identify more as Democrat,” Trump told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer in a 2004 interview. “It just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans. Now, it shouldn’t be that way. But if you go back, I mean it just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats. ...But certainly we had some very good economies under Democrats, as well as Republicans. But we’ve had some pretty bad disaster under the Republicans.”...

I’m posting facts, you’re editorializing.
I don’t care about any of that. I give people room to change their minds about things. If Trump is on the ticket I’m voting for him.
I see, you’re flexible too.
Trump has been consistently inconsistent about everything, except for when it comes to Trump. He’s shown it time and time again for decades. Anyone who thinks he’s suddenly going to start showing a solidly conservative streak if elected to the POTUS is living in denial.
You’re doing nothing but damage. I hope you’ll stop.
That thinking got us 2 Obama terms. Perfect or nothing. We get nothing everytime.
Here’s the transcript; http://www.whatthefolly.com/2015/09/02/transcript-donald-trumps-speech-in-nashville-tennessee-part-13/
I’ve only voted for one perfect candidate in my 44 years of voting. Voted for myself, when I ran for a city council seat.
I don't see how any of the others have the ability to rally people and maybe save the US. I'm not sure the younger ones have had the experiences to understand the US and its promises we grew up with.
What appeals to people is that Trump knew how to make things work in business. It's those skills we need in the DC, it's not about lifestyle he led and choices he made to succeed in private enterprise.
What I do care about drives why I’m voting Trump.
