“However, I will quickly say that I would be wary of any man guilty of abandoning his wife and children.”
According to Wiki,
it looks like Scofield did that
BEFORE God whooped him with a 2by4
on the road to Damascus.....
.
This, added to the pedophilia, sort of puts him in a
special category.
Was Elvis (and I'm not a fan) parading around as some kind of moral authority and exemplary Christian?
Duggar was doing just that. Whatever he gets now, he brought on himself.
millions of secular families and many celebrities have done what he’s done, yet the press is silent n those folks-
Make no mistake, the only reason the press is hammering him is be3cause he claims to be a christian
I am not here judging Josh Duggar on anything other than saying reality shows are bad, they are unhealthy for the ones putting all their life out there for all the world to see \, mostly for money. They are letting the audience take the place that was made for God. All of them.
I don’t even really know anything about this family other than what I’ve read here or headlines at the Daily Mail UK.I don’t think I even had a clue even until last year? this year?
They have hurt themselves by putting their lives out there for everybody to see and inspect and with that comes judgement. They will need to weather this storm and lean on their faith. At least Josh appears to be handling it better than the pastor in Louisianan did.
He may be in pain and he may be being judged but pain and judgement and shame aren’t always bad, it has a purpose. If we use it right, it brings us closer to God. So, in the end it may be a good thing for Josh.
Elvis had his fame and I don’t suppose it helped him very much at all, in the end.
You are really surprised?
I’m not.
Sociopaths usually don’t have remorse.
Not surprised. I said as much when the sister/molestation thing hit the news. About 1 in 20 are sociopaths. When you have 19 kids you’re really playing the odds...
I think Josh is their huckleberry for sociopaths in the family.

Actually Elvis was a closet Christian. After concerts he and his band would sing Gospel music until the wee hours of the morning. Elvis had originally wanted to sing just Gospel but his managers made him sing rock n roll because it made more money. Truth be told Elvis hated it and his heart and soul was in singing Gospel.

Yes, I’m just not a fan of his music...of any fifties music, really.
Agreed. But are those celebrities publicly advocating something different than the lifestyle they live? That in and of itself tends to tick people off.
well laz
“So what is the big deal about this guy Dugger? Look the other way. How but for the grace of God goes any of us.”
How about the fact that he is a kid toucher and possibly making light of that. Heee heee and all? Nope. He’s a sick man and should be labled as such.
