Sometime in the late 70’s maybe early 80’s I woke up with a dream that seemed like it might have been prophetic. I have watched to see if it would come to past and so far not, but maybe it pertains to this pope. I dreamed that a very loud announcement, so loud that it woke me up, was being made that “the pope has just announced that he has just become a Christian”.
At that time in my life my thoughts were not on the pope or really anything Catholic. I was a born again Jesus believing Christian and this was my total focus so the dream was so unrelated to my thoughts back then. Wouldn’t it be amazing if it came to past. Let’s pray that The LORD wakes this man up to the error of his ways and that he does announce that he has just become a Christian.
Pope Francis:
Service is never ideological, for we do not serve ideas, he said. We serve people.
This is a continuation of the Pope’s “Reality are more important than ideas.”
I humbly would state it differently.
God is reality itself — whether or not we are capable of percieving/understanding him.
The phrase I would used is: “God is more important than ideas.”
Thus we are to serve God via the actions described in the Beatitudes.
He’ll do just fine, he has a socialist type back ground for his entire life. As he learns more about a country like the U.S., perhaps he will come more around to our way of thinking. He is, however, certainly entitled to his personal views on global warming, poverty, and whatever else...but they are worth no more than anyone else’s....look at the Hollywood elites, they use the familiarity of their names to make all kinds of statements.
Have you ever noticed how everyone is against the US of A, except when it comes to our money?????
Sound like liberal Christians who scorn doctrine and create a false dilemma btwn being loving and committed to sound doctrine and loving and service others. Which they do in order to justify service others in unscriptural ways. For doctrine teaches how lto serve others under God being first, and thus His word.
