Indeed.
When I worked on th Big Dig, I often had to represent the small contractor i worked for at EEO meetings at the big Bechtel/Parsons Brinkerhoff office building where all the EEO complinace ladies hung out all day doing nothing but braiding each others hair and doing their 3” long finger nails.
The racism directed toward me, a white boy, was palpable. That was about the worst part of that whole job.
Look on the bright side: they could be singing “’Twas only a hopeless fancy.”
