as far as i know, the military has no rail gun.

So just redesign it to fire the gun at the target. A 500 MPH rail gun would be different.

I'm more concerned with whether it can take down a fully grown charging Krogan. Do that and I'll be impressed.
Having said that, it's cool looking and another important step for freedom of gun ownership.
