So smoked meat goes the way of smoked tobacco...but pot should be legalized?

The lunatics HAVE taken over the asylum.

Great, now we will have "carcinogenic pork skeptics".

IS someone pushing us to eat like muslims?

Eating too much sausage everyday will be bad for you longer term. But going on a watermelon and fruit diet will also had bad effects.
True. My cardiologist told me that even though I'm on meds to control my BP and cholesterol and need to lose some weight, going vegetatian or vegan or any of the other fad diets is a waste of time and may even do more harm than good. He sensibly advised me to replace most of the meat with anything that "flies or swims".

I am taking a few supplements:

Daily vitamin
Glucosamine Condroitin
8000 iu Vitamin D3
400 mg of Calcium

Thinking about taking 1 tsp of baking soda in a glass of water each day. Read in several places that prostate cancer needs an acidic environment to grow. Even if it doesn’t make a difference, it does no harm. Will be checking with my doctor at MDA tomorrow.

Just don’t eat the bacon in the rush they did last night on ‘Last Man on Earth’ episode.

Include me in the bacon underground please. There will be bootleg pigs in my neighborhood forever.

Look at adding Vitamin K to your regime. I’ve seen research showing a possible benefit of helping to move calcium from the wrong places (arteries/veins) to the right places (bones/teeth).

I love Bacon and Steak!!!! Actually I fix bacon as a “snack” for movies etc.

BTW...I weigh about 115 @ 5'2...and eat anything I want....I just don't eat more than needed to satisfy....and I eat no snack foods (Yulk) except popcorn or Spiced taco's with melted sharp cheese. I don't like the chemicals I can taste in snack foods...and they never satisfy.

I've always leaned toward a high protein and vegetable diet (meat, fish, green vegetables) without much worry about the fat content, and haven't ever had much of an issue with weight myself either.

Au Naturale, though I'm not as well packaged as you. :-D

Well exactly....I also actually take a Protein drink every day because it satifies my sweet tooth....when I don’t drink it I get a terrible craving for pastry sweets!

I think if you love veggies, as I also do, life is good! I like celery with pineapple cream cheese for a munchie...and fruit.

However I do like ‘fried’ fish and fried veggies as well and don’t hesitate doing so. Fried squash and green tomatoes! And for a few weeks now I’ve enjoyed home made french fries as a snack almost every night.

I’ve never been worried about fat content either....obviously! Ha!

The WHO (World health organization) are a bunch of liars and frauds. I wouldn’t believe them if they said Bacon cures cancer.
